What Happened: On Thursday, speaking on the Brighter With Herbert podcast, Wang defended his call, &#8220;once we clear $365, there's only a few technical resistance levels left, $420, $480, and then it's all-time highs,&#8221; he says. He also argues that the current macro climate, including improved China trade sentiment, could help reignite Tesla's momentum.
The bigger leap, Wang says, will come from the Tesla&#8217;s robo-taxi rollout. He believes a hybrid approach that mixes supervised and unsupervised autonomous vehicles is more likely, with commercial operations beginning in Austin as early as June.

According to Wang, if the company can prove that it works with even with just 10,000 vehicles, while showing unit economics that rival that of Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UBER#NYSE">UBER</a>), it can help flip investor psychology. &#8220;Then the Ark Invest scenario is going to happen,&#8221; he says, referring to Cathie Wood&#8217;s <a href="https://in.benzinga.com/news/25/03/44345980/cathie-wood-stands-by-teslas-2600-price-target-despite-40-stock-drop-its-winner-take-most">multi-trillion-dollar market cap</a> forecast for the company.
Tesla's expanding footprint in distributed AI, via in-vehicle chips and Tesla Bots, is another piece of the puzzle. &#8220;The car can make money. The chip can make money,&#8221; he says, outlining a future where Tesla monetizes idle compute across its global fleet.
While Wang admits some elements, like the widespread Tesla Bot deployment are still further out, but he maintains that 2025 will be a point of inflection for the company, saying that &#8220;It's all coming together now.&#8221;
Why It Matters: Most other leading Tesla analysts and experts have echoed similar views, with Dan Ives saying this week that the company&#8217;s future <a href="https://benzinga.com/25/05/45398745/heavy-lifting-ahead-dan-ives-says-teslas-future-hinges-on-autonomy-as-europe-demand-cratersxai-acquisition-could-be-musks-next-big-bet">hinges on autonomy</a>. 
Mere updates on the upcoming robotaxi were enough to drive a 40% rally from its April lows, pushing the stock back into the <a href="https://benzinga.com/25/05/45376757/tesla-back-in-the-trillionaire-club-tsla-stock-roars-back-with-40-rebound-robotaxi-mania">trillion-dollar market cap club</a>, despite recent declines in sales and underwhelming earnings just weeks earlier.
Price Action: Shares of Tesla were down 1.40% on Thursday at $342.82, and 0.17% after hours.

U.S. stock futures advanced on Friday after a mixed close on Thursday. Futures of major benchmark indices were trading higher in premarket.
The S&amp;P 500 index recorded its fourth day of gains on Thursday after turning positive for the year at the beginning of the week.
Jerome Powell, Federal Reserve Chair, indicated Thursday that the Fed is r<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/economics/macro-economic-events/25/05/45439079/powell-signals-fed-may-shift-its-inflation-strategy-after-5-year-economic-shake-up">eassessing its inflation and employment strategies</a>, suggesting potential shifts in policy following a comprehensive review scheduled for 2025. 
"Participants have indicated that they thought it would be appropriate to reconsider the language around [labor market] shortfalls," Powell said, referring to how the Fed talks about employment in its official strategy.
Nasdaq dropped after continued positive momentum from <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45462404/trump-unveils-over-200-billion-worth-of-deals-with-uae-including-major-etihad-airways-commitment">partnerships with the Middle East</a> during the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum. 
Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.40% and the two-year bond was at 4.93%. The CME Group's FedWatch <a href="https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html">tool</a>&#8216;s projections show markets pricing a 91.8% likelihood of the Federal Reserve keeping the current interest rates unchanged in its June meeting.

The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQ#NASDAQ">QQQ</a>), which track the S&amp;P 500 index and Nasdaq 100 index, respectively, rose in premarket on Friday. The SPY was up 0.14% to $591.31, while the QQQ advanced 0.16% to $520.06, according to <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pro</a> data.
Cues From Last Session:
Led by strong gains in utilities, consumer staples, and real estate, most sectors within the S&amp;P 500 finished Thursday in positive territory, contributing to the index&#8217;s fourth consecutive session of gains.
However, consumer discretionary and communication services stocks diverged from the broader market, ending the day lower.
Overall, the S&amp;P 500 has climbed approximately 4.5% week-to-date, followed by a roughly 2.6% increase for the Dow and a significant 6.6% rise for the Nasdaq.
Notably, tech giants like Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) and Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) have seen substantial weekly gains of around 15% each, with Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) and Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOG#NASDAQ">GOOG</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) also adding around 6% and 7%, respectively.
In other news, Walmart Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WMT#NYSE">WMT</a>) reported stronger-than-anticipated first-quarter earnings, while Foot Locker Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FL#NYSE">FL</a>) shares surged around 86% following an agreement for acquisition by DICK&#8217;s Sporting Goods Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DKS#NYSE">DKS</a>).
On the economic front, initial jobless claims remained steady, U.S. retail sales saw a modest 0.1% monthly increase in April, and U.S. producer prices unexpectedly declined by 0.5% in April.
The Dow Jones index advanced 272 points or 0.65% to 42,322.75, whereas the S&amp;P 500 index rose 0.41% to 5,916.93. Nasdaq Composite ended 0.18% lower at 19,112.32, and the small-cap gauge, Russell 2000, ended 0.52% higher at 2,094.69.

Insights From Analysts:
Ed Yardeni of Yardeni Research said in his QuickTakes note that Fed Chair Powell &#8220;poked a stick&#8221; at the White House following his speech on Thursday.
Yardeni pointed out that Powell implied that the bond yields might stay elevated as a result of more frequent &#8220;supply shocks,&#8221; like tariffs.
&#8220;Higher real rates may also reflect the possibility that inflation could be more volatile going forward than in the inter-crisis period of the 2010s,&#8221; Powell said in prepared remarks for the Thomas Laubach Research Conference in Washington, D.C.
Yardeni said, &#8220;Sounds like Powell is expecting more frequent bouts of stagflation, which was associated with supply shocks in the past.&#8221;
&#8220;The stock and bond markets didn&#8217;t react much to the speech partly because today&#8217;s batch of indicators were mostly ambiguous about the near-term prospects for stagflation,&#8221; he added.
As the PPI declined in April, Louis Navellier of Navellier &amp; Associates said, &#8220;The PPI demonstrated that despite recent trade chaos, wholesale prices are falling from lackluster economic activity and surplus goods that have been &#8216;dumped&#8217; in the U.S.&#8221;
Meanwhile, commenting on the declining PPI, Jamie Cox, the managing partner at Harris Financial Group, added, &#8220;If you are in the stagflation camp, these data aren't confirming your thesis. While growth is slowing, disinflation remains intact.&#8221;
Speaking about the S&amp;P 500 earnings so far, Navellier said, &#8220;Now that 90% of the companies in the S&amp;P 500 have announced their first quarter results, earnings are running at an 11.2% annual pace, which represents the seventh straight quarter of improving earnings growth.&#8221;

Wall Street Poised To Open Higher After S&P 500's 4-Day Run: 'Sounds Like Powell Is Expecting More Frequent Bouts Of Stagflation,' Cautions Expert

The CNN Money Fear and Greed index showed a decline in the overall market sentiment, while the index remained in the &#8220;Greed&#8221; zone on Thursday.
U.S. stocks settled mixed on Thursday, with the S&amp;P 500 recording gains for the fourth straight session. Week to date, the S&amp;P 500 gained around 4.5%, while the Dow added around 2.6%. The Nasdaq has added around 6.6% during the period.
Tech giants have also recorded sharp gains during the week, with Nvidia (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) and Tesla (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) adding around 15% each. Shares of Amazon (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) gained around 6%, while Alphabet (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) jumped 7% week-to-date.

U.S. retail sales increased by 0.1% month-over-month in April compared to a revised 1.7% gain in March. U.S. producer prices declined by 0.5% in April compared to a revised flat reading in the previous month and versus market estimates of a 0.2% gain.
Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a positive note, with utilities, consumer staples and real estate stocks recording biggest gains on Thursday. However, consumer discretionary and communication services stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session lower.
The Dow Jones closed higher by around 272 points to 42,322.75 on Thursday. The S&amp;P 500 gained 0.41% to 5,916.93, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.18% at 19,112.32 during Thursday's session.

Coming off a major US and China trade deal this weekend in Switzerland, which was a &#8220;dream scenario&#8221; for the markets and bullish tech investors, the tone in Riyadh has been about the bright green light on the massive AI buildout in Saudi, and this could open up a vast opportunity and TAM for Nvidia, Palantir, Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>), Amazon, Alphabet, Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) and many other well-positioned chip/software names over the coming years.
Ives noted that the market opportunity in Saudi Arabia could add another $1 trillion to the broader global AI market in the coming years, and this dynamic is not being priced into the market and tech names.
Trump granted the Crown Prince&#8217;s new AI company, Humain (PIF AI subsidiary), a major strategic partnership with Nvidia in which Jensen &amp; Co. will sell 18,000 next-generation Blackwell chips in the first deployment to power a Saudi supercomputer.
Over the next five years, Saudi Arabia will construct major data centers to train and deploy the Kingdom&#8217;s sovereign AI models.
This technology innovation is part of Saudi Arabia&#8217;s Vision 2030 initiative to move away from dependence and focus on technology and other strategic initiatives.
This is all part of a regional focus in the Middle East on building out data centers and the AI Revolution, which will start to vault UAE, Saudi, and Qatar to the priority list for U.S. tech companies. It also speaks to this global game of high-stakes poker being played by the Trump Administration, as while China is getting restrictions from Nvidia&#8217;s older H20 chip slowing down the AI buildout in Beijing, on the contrary, Ives noted Saudi getting the best Nvidia next-generation chips with a red carpet rollout from the rest of the Big Tech world.
China is taking notice, which will add to the drama of the broader U.S.-China tariff talks over the coming months.
This Saudi development is a significant trend to focus on over the coming months. As per the analyst, the AI theme is a bullish indicator that further shows the U.S. tech&#8217;s lead in this fourth Industrial Revolution.
He stated that there is one chip fueling this generational spending: the Godfather of AI, Jensen and Nvidia. This will be just the beginning as tech players like the hyperscalers, Palantir, Tesla, and others see the game-changing AI market opportunity in the Middle East. Ives expects bigger AI deals on the horizon, Ives added.

A new 90-day pause and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/05/45347089/wall-street-rips-higher-as-tariff-truce-halts-us-china-economic-escalation">lowered tariff amounts </a>between the United States and China have helped send the stock market higher with the S&amp;P 500 drifting back into positive territory for 2025.
The stock market gains have also helped the richest people in the world get richer. Here's a look at how the top 10 billionaires list is shaping up this year.
What Happened: The 10 richest people in the world <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/management/25/01/42771258/worlds-top-10-richest-people-gained-more-wealth-in-2024-than-costco-and-nikes-combined-valuation-how-elon-musk-warren-buffett-and-others-fared">added $518 billion</a> to their wealth in 2024, ending the year worth a combined $2.02 trillion.
After the stock market&#8217;s strong 2024, the wealth of the world's richest has been significantly different in 2025.
As of May 13, only four of the world&#8217;s ten richest individuals have posted gains in 2025. That&#8217;s up from just three in late March, and the group&#8217;s total combined wealth is inching closer to positive for the year after sharp declines in March and April.

Why It's Important: Many of the world's richest have wealth tied to technology stocks, a sector hit hard by tariffs on China. With the 90-day pause and lower tariff amount, technology stocks have rebounded and helped boost the wealth of many people.
The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>), which tracks the S&amp;P 500, is up 0.6% year-to-date in 2025 after spending months in the red.

The rally began after the April 9 announcement of a 90-day pause on new tariffs—just one week after the U.S. introduced broad trade measures that had roiled global markets.
Optimism built steadily as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent hinted at major trade progress with several partners. 
In May, two major diplomatic breakthroughs:
