Shell is an integrated oil and gas company that explores for, produces, and refines oil around the world. In 2023, it produced 1.5 million barrels of liquids and 7.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day. At end-2023, reserves stood at 9.6 billion barrels of oil equivalent, 49% of which, consisted of liquids. Its production and reserves are in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and North and South America. The company operates refineries with capacity of 1.6 mmb/d located in the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Europe and sells about 12 million tons per year of chemicals. Its largest chemical plants, often integrated with its local refineries, are in Central Europe, China, Singapore, and North America.

The data provider is projecting an 8% growth in the sector in 2024-2025, with the U.S. alone spending $2 billion more on non-alcoholic beer over the next five years.
Despite this growth, non-alcoholic beer is far from the top-selling beer category globally, with only about 2% of the market share according to <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/29/non-alcoholic-beer-to-pass-ale-in-sales-volume-this-year.html">CNBC</a>. Lager, with its 92% market share, remains the leader.

Non-alcoholic beverages have been gaining popularity as consumers cut back on their alcohol consumption, says <a href="https://www.theiwsr.com/insight/key-statistics-and-trends-for-the-us-no-alcohol-market/">IWSR</a>. Millennials and Gen Z are the largest groups of non-alcoholic beverage consumers, and are largely responsible for the push for brewers to invest in zero-proof alternatives.
With companies like <a href="https://ncsolutions.com/the-goods/sober-curious-nation-alcohol-survey/">NCSolutions</a> reporting that 49% of Americans are trying to drink less in 2025, and 58% of Americans are planning to try non-alcoholic beverages this year, major beer brands are cluing in and rolling out alcohol-free versions of their classic products. Guinness, Heineken, and Budweiser have all introduced zero-proof options within the last five years.
Several brands with only non-alcoholic offerings have also sprung up recently. Athletic Brewing, which was founded in 2018, is now the top-selling non-alcoholic beer brand in the U.S., CNBC reports. The upstart holds 17% of the category's volume share, edging out Bud Zero and Heineken's 0.0 version. Just three years earlier, Athletic held only a 4% share of the sector.&nbsp;

Actor Tom Holland launched Bero in 2024, retired NBA player Dwyane Wade helped get Bud Zero off the ground in 2020, and actor Dax Shepherd created Ted Segers in 2023.
Despite projections from <a href="http://bernstein/">Meticulous Research</a> that the global non-alcoholic beer market will reach $34.97 billion by 2032, IWSR says there are still a number of barriers the market must overcome in order to reach that growth potential. Specifically, availability, price, and taste have the ability to affect market value. "Boomers' expectations for lower prices conflict with the higher production costs of most no-alcohol products," the report says.

Non-Alcoholic Beer Sales Up 9% In 2024, Experts Predict It Will Be The Second-Largest Beer Category Worldwide In 2025

Five former Proud Boys leaders have filed a sweeping $100 million lawsuit against the U.S. government, alleging they were unjustly prosecuted for their roles in the<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/25/06/45826882/trump-signs-orders-to-strengthen-us-drone-defenses-and-supersonic-flight" rel="noreferrer noopener"> January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.</a>
The plaintiffs—Henry &#8220;Enrique&#8221; Tarrio, Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl, and Dominic Pezzola—say their constitutional rights were violated during legal proceedings, which they claim were tainted by political motivations, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cr4z7zyl0gwo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports </a>BBC.
The lawsuit, submitted in a Florida federal court on Friday, accuses federal prosecutors and FBI agents of bias, alleging misconduct such as witness coercion and tampering with evidence.

The defendants argue their treatment was part of a broader effort to persecute allies of President Donald Trump.
Tarrio, the group&#8217;s former chairman, was convicted of seditious conspiracy and received a 22-year sentence—among the harshest tied to the Capitol breach.
The others received similar convictions and prison terms. However, their fortunes shifted dramatically earlier this year when Donald Trump pardoned the group during his second presidential inauguration, describing them as victims of government overreach.
Trump defended his sweeping clemency move, stating, &#8220;What they&#8217;ve done to these people is outrageous,&#8221; and labeled the prosecutions as historically extreme.
The lawsuit echoes these sentiments, calling the federal cases &#8220;corrupt and politically motivated.&#8221;
Filed against the Department of Justice, now led by Attorney General Pam Bondi under the Trump administration, the legal challenge highlights alleged systemic abuses in how the cases were handled.
The plaintiffs argue that federal agents pursued them not out of justice, but due to animus toward their political affiliations.
Over 1,500 individuals have faced federal charges tied to the Capitol attack, with hundreds accused of assaulting law enforcement officers using various makeshift weapons.
Despite this, Trump and his allies have continued to characterize January 6 as a misrepresented event.
His critics, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, have called the pardons a slap in the face to justice.

Didi Taihuttu and his family, known widely as the &#8220;Bitcoin Family,&#8221; have reportedly taken dramatic steps to safeguard their digital wealth amid a global uptick <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/crypto" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">in violent crypto-targeted crimes</a>.
The family, which famously liquidated all their assets in 2017 to bet entirely on Bitcoin, has revamped their entire security system to minimize physical and digital threats.
CNBC reports that the Taihuttus now store their crypto seed phrases across four continents using a method that combines analog stealth and digital encryption.

After a string of disturbing incidents—including abductions, physical torture, and ransom schemes targeting crypto holders in France and New York—Taihuttu chose to abandon hardware wallets altogether.
Instead, he has implemented a more intricate system: a single 24-word seed phrase, split into four encrypted chunks, each hidden in a separate global location, CNBC adds.
Most of the family&#8217;s digital fortune—roughly 65%—sits in cold storage, completely disconnected from the internet.
The remainder is allocated to hot wallets protected by multi-signature protocols.
Taihuttu uses tools like Safe (formerly Gnosis Safe) for altcoins and layered security structures on centralized platforms such as Bybit.
One of the main reasons behind the hardware wallet exodus is skepticism around device security.
Following controversial firmware updates and fears of backdoor access, Taihuttu replaced them with steel-etched, fireproof backups hidden physically.
The family now avoids even filming at home or sharing real-time travel details due to stalkers identifying their whereabouts.
Beyond traditional multi-signature wallets, Taihuttu is also exploring multi-party computation (MPC).
Unlike standard setups, MPC splits the private key itself among multiple parties, requiring a quorum to initiate any transaction. This ensures no individual has complete control, further reducing vulnerability.
With plans to access their cold wallets only when Bitcoin reaches $1 million—projected by 2033—the Taihuttus are positioning their crypto as a long-term pension fund.
Meanwhile, 80% of their trading now happens on decentralized exchanges like Apex, which let them maintain custody while executing trades.

Elon Musk&#8216;s claim regarding President Donald Trump&#8216;s connection to the undisclosed Jeffrey Epstein files has ignited a political uproar.
What Happened: Musk made a shocking statement on X, saying,&nbsp;&#8220;Time to drop the really&nbsp;big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in&nbsp;the Epstein files. That is&nbsp;the real reason they have&nbsp;not been made public.&#8221; 
He, however, did not present any supporting evidence for his claim.
Despite the absence of any concrete proof, House Democrats have capitalized on Musk&#8217;s statement, with two oversight committee members calling for&nbsp;a response from Justice Department&nbsp;officials.
While Trump&#8217;s association with Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex trafficker, is public knowledge, there are no records indicating Trump&#8217;s involvement in Epstein&#8217;s illegal activities. The President has consistently refuted any allegations of misconduct related to Epstein.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, labeled Musk&#8217;s allegations as &#8220;unfortunate&#8221; and hinted that Musk&#8217;s discontent with the One Big Beautiful Bill could be the driving force behind his claims.

Meanwhile, Musk has deleted some of his posts on X, including one in which he said Trump was named in the Epstein files. He also deleted a tweet announcing his intention to decommission SpaceX&#8217;s Dragon spacecraft.
"I will apologize profusely as soon as there is a full dump of the Epstein files," Musk said in a post which was deleted later on.

Despite this demand factor, the consultancy anticipates gold prices to set a new record annual average of $3,210 per ounce, driven by investor unease over the economic and geopolitical climate.
In 2024, mine output rose to an all-time high of 3,661 metric tons and is expected to increase slightly again to 3,694 tons this year. This growth stems from new mining projects and the continued strength in countries such as Mexico, Ghana, and Canada. Recycling activity, which reached a 12-year high of 1,368 tons last year thanks to substantial contributions from China, is expected to remain flat in 2025 due to constrained near-market stocks and persistent bullish sentiment.
Regardless of the expected increase in overall supply, the market has limited room for maneuver, as the projected surplus of 840 tons is relatively modest in the context of global demand and investment flows.
Retail demand, however, is under pressure. Jewelry fabrication decreased by 9% in 2024 and is projected to decline by a steeper 16% in 2025, with the largest impact in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/08/40403404/rising-gold-prices-take-the-shine-off-chow-sang-sang">price-sensitive regions</a> such as India and China.
High prices are proving a deterrent, though some resilience remains in other regions when adjusting for the dramatic rise in value. Industrial demand has been surprisingly strong, especially in the electronics sector, where the surge in AI-driven technology has led to a 9% increase in consumption for 2024. This trend is expected to continue, with a further 3% growth anticipated this year. However, other segments, like dental and decorative applications, are showing signs of decline, reflecting ongoing long-term structural shifts.
Yet, investment interest remains strong, especially among institutions and Asian retail investors. Furthermore, a volatile global environment and a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/commodities/25/05/45617358/gold-demand-holds-firm-as-dollar-confidence-wavers">strengthening de-dollarization</a> sentiment have driven diversification strategies. Fears regarding the escalation of U.S. debt, interest rate trajectories, and potential trade conflicts under the Trump administration have all contributed to this trend.
Central banks&#8217; continued buying plays a notable role. In a 2022 <a href="https://youtu.be/L_8wm30tLyc?si=hDUjVR1lzQrCgh0b">appearance on the "Full Send Podcast"</a>, Cuban got real about the limits of AI, the longevity of human health, and, naturally, Musk. "He's a different dude," Cuban said, when asked whether they'd ever be close. "I know Elon like a tiny bit. He had another kid—this is before the last three or whatever—and I'm like, ‘Dude, congratulations. How many are you going to have?' He goes—sends me a text back—‘Mars needs people.'" Cuban added, "That's what he does."

Cue stunned laughter from the podcast hosts. Cuban shrugged, "I don't think he likes me."
And while the line reads like a classic Musk troll, he's dead serious about it. Musk has long argued that humanity's best shot at survival is becoming a multiplanetary species. He's repeatedly said Earth is vulnerable—nuclear war, pandemics, rogue AI—and wants to build a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45612033/elon-musk-touts-spacexs-starship-rocket-ahead-of-launch-says-it-can-reach-mars-in-six-months">self-sustaining city on Mars</a> with up to a million people by 2050. So yeah, when he says "Mars needs people," he's not joking—he's recruiting.
By 2024, Cuban was still retelling the story—this time on <a href="https://youtu.be/fiK6IWhDbWU?si=1R19dO6tXBmcG5sj">"This Past Weekend with Theo Von"</a>—adding a little more context and a few more jabs. "I helped him with something, or tried to, so I had his number," Cuban recalled. "He had a kid and I'm like, ‘Congrats on your 97th kid,' and he texts me back: ‘Mars needs people.' And I'm like, that's funny as f&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A;."
But the bromance stops there.

Cuban said things got a little rockier when he tweeted something less-than-glowing about Tesla. Musk didn't take it well. "He just sends me a text with the article and it says, ‘F&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A; you.' That's it. Just ‘F&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A; you,'" Cuban laughed.

Even with that praise, Cuban's stance is unbothered. "He says some stupid s&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A;," he admitted. "And I have no problem calling him out."
As for whether they'll ever squash the beef?

A Florida family thought they were upgrading their kitchen. Instead, they say they got a disaster — one that soaked their home, drained their finances, and may soon head to court.

John's resident Bradley Byrd and his family purchased a $3,500 KitchenAid refrigerator <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/management/25/05/45248740/charlie-munger-says-the-secret-is-to-find-costcos-not-good-exits-saying-his-wealth-came-from-relentless-holding-and-not-slick-sell-signals">from Costco</a> in December. The fridge was delivered and installed by a third-party company contracted by the warehouse-club chain — but just six hours later, Byrd got a FaceTime call from his daughter that stopped him cold.
"Dad, the house is underwater," she told him.

Byrd rushed home to find water flooding the floors. Video footage he later shared shows the damage: soaked carpets, standing water, and furniture floating. The family says the refrigerator's water line had been installed incorrectly — a critical error that allegedly caused the line to rupture after being pinched beneath the fridge's wheels.
"They allowed the refrigerator's wheels to sit on a line, which caused a crack that grew larger and larger," Byrd told News4JAX.
The result? Mold, structural damage, and a $700,000 headache, according to a public adjuster's estimate. The family was forced to evacuate their home just before Christmas and spent months living in an Airbnb. They've since returned, but Byrd says their home is still partially unlivable — with no working kitchen or bathroom, and lawn chairs and folding tables standing in for real furniture.
"We purchased these lovely tables to prepare food on and to eat at," Byrd said, with dry irony.
So far, Byrd estimates he's spent around $300,000 out-of-pocket on remediation, storage, testing, and repairs. While Costco has provided $38,000 for temporary living expenses and — according to Byrd — offered $175,000 toward damages, the family has not accepted the settlement. Legal action is now on the table.

News4JAX reports that its team reached out to Costco multiple times via phone, email, and social media. As of publication, the company had not responded. The contractor responsible for delivery and installation, RXO Last Mile, declined to comment, reportedly stating that the issue is not its to resolve
"They drop the ball and are hoping that I foot the bill with my life savings for their bottom line," Byrd told News4JAX.
He's now documenting the ordeal publicly on CostcoWaterDamage.com and even paid for local billboards to raise awareness. His site includes a detailed cost breakdown, showing the scope of the damage and his mounting expenses, which include:

While Costco did provide some assistance, the Byrds say it's not nearly enough. As of now, no lawsuit has been filed, but Byrd told News4JAX, "I think that, unfortunately, is the next step."

Shaq saw the message on Instagram and didn't hesitate. He took Zach to Friedman's Shoes in Atlanta — the same store that once gave young Shaquille a break back in the late '80s, before he was famous and still living on an army base in San Antonio. "I had one pair of shoes the whole year," he said. "Till I met Bruce."
Bruce Teilhaber, the owner of Friedman's, is something of a legend in Shaq's life. A friend of Shaq's father had called Bruce looking for help, and Bruce delivered — a free pair of supersized shoes for a supersized teen who had none. Shaq never forgot.
Since then, O'Neal's returned the favor — over and over again. He's reportedly bought more than 2,000 pairs from Friedman's, a one-man stimulus package for the store. TTM Technologies (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TTMI#NASDAQ">TTMI</a>): the technology solutions company saw strong interest from readers during the week with no major news reported. The stock has been soaring over the last year, hitting new all-time highs recently. On May 9, the company announced a $100 million share buyback that could help boost future earnings per share. The company beat analyst estimates for earnings per share in the first quarter, marking two straight beats and beating analyst estimates for eps in seven of the last eight quarters. The lone non-beat was an in-line figure in that time period. The company also beat analyst revenue projections in the first quarter, marking five straight quarterly beats. Shell PLC (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SHEL#NYSE">SHEL</a>): The oil and gas stock saw increased interest from readers during the week with minimal news. The big news for the sector in recent weeks was the decision by OPEC to keep output unchanged after discussing increasing output for the month of July. This decision could keep the price of oil steady. In May, the company announced quarterly results with earnings per share beating analyst estimates and revenue missing estimates. In May, the company also <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/25/05/45664619/shell-boosts-nigerian-deepwater-assets-with-totalenergies-stake-purchase">announced a deal</a> between its Nigeria Exploration segment and TotalEnergies SE's Nigeria Limited segment, which increases Shell's total ownership from 55% to 67.5%. The deal comes as Shell is looking to increase its total production annually.

Spotify Technology (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPOT#NYSE">SPOT</a>): The music streaming company saw shares hit all-time highs thanks to some analyst upgrades and notes. A <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst-color/25/06/45750281/spotify-stock-smashes-records-goldman-sees-200-billion-music-streaming-market-by-2035">report from Goldman Sachs</a> said the global music market could double in size over the next decade with Spotify a potential winner. The report predicts global paid subscribers for music streaming will hit 1.51 billion by 2035 with 75% of the growth coming from emerging markets. Spotify had a 35% market share for global paid music streaming in 2024 with 263 million subscribers. Goldman Sachs said Spotify could further monetize their user base with fan promotions and selling concert tickets. JPMorgan also recently raised the price target on Spotify from $670 to $730 while maintaining an Overweight rating. Canaccord recently maintained a Buy rating and raised the price target from $700 to $775. Another item potentially helping Spotify could be a rush of Taylor Swift fans, aka Swifties, to the platform to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/entertainment/25/06/45783291/spotify-early-winner-from-taylor-swift-buying-back-old-albums-a-love-story-for-fans-streaming-company">listen to her older songs</a> and records now that she owns the rights to all of her music.

Cellebrite (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CLBT#NASDAQ">CLBT</a>): Digital intelligence company Cellebrite saw increased interest from readers during the week, likely the result of the company announcing its <a href="https://investors.cellebrite.com/news-releases/news-release-details/cellebrite-acquire-corellium">acquisition </a>of Corellium, a leading in Arm-based virtualization software. The company said the combination will lead to new standards for digital investigations and smart device security. The acquisition is expected to expand the total addressable market size for Cellebrite's public and private sector efforts. Needham analysts also <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/CLBT/analyst-ratings">reiterated a Buy rating </a>on Cellebrite with a $24 price target recently.

Axon Enterprises (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AXON#NASDAQ">AXON</a>): Shares of the cloud-based digital evidence company and owner of the TASER devices hit new all-time highs recently. The stock saw increased interest from readers during the week. The interest likely stems from a Bank of America <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/AXON/analyst-ratings">analyst note </a>with a Buy rating maintained and the price target going up from $750 to $895. The interest in Axon Enterprises comes after the company<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45271559/axon-enterprise-stock-pops-on-q1-earnings-key-details"> beat analyst estimates</a> for revenue and earnings per share in the first quarter. The company also raised full-year guidance for revenue after the first-quarter beat. Axon was previously on the Stock Whisper Index <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/03/44333602/benzingas-stock-whisper-index-5-stocks-investors-secretly-monitor-but-dont-talk-about-yet">in March</a> and has been a top performing stock with shares up over 180% over the last year.

Benzinga's 'Stock Whisper' Index: 5 Stocks Investors Secretly Monitor But Don't Talk About Yet

Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOG#NASDAQ">GOOG</a>) co-founder Larry Page called artificial intelligence "the ultimate version of Google" back in 2000, a prediction the company now treats as marching orders.
What Happened: In that 2000 <a href="https://changeminds.wordpress.com/2009/01/18/inspiring-interview-with-larry-page-founder-of-google/">interview</a> at the International Achievement Summit, Page explained his vision of AI for Google as &#8220;the ultimate search engine that would understand everything on the Web. It would understand exactly what you wanted, and it would give you the right thing.&#8221;
In the very next sentence, Page conceded that Google was "nowhere near" that goal, even with 6,000 servers and an index "70 miles high."

Alphabet&#8217;s current CEO, Sundar Pichai, emphasized Google&#8217;s <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/23/09/34455741/for-alphabet-ceo-sundar-pichai-googles-race-for-ai-dominance-against-microsoft-is-still-on">transition</a> to being &#8220;AI-first&#8221; in 2016, but Page's 25-year-old roadmap shows the ambition ran deeper.
Why It Matters: Fast-forward to 2024, Google has rolled out <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/25/02/43485518/google-ais-search-revenue-matches-traditional-ads-says-alphabet-but-there-is-rising-competition-from-openai-perplexity-deepseek">AI Overviews</a> which are brief answers generated by its Gemini model that sit atop traditional links and aim to "do the searching for you." The feature already drives material revenue, Alphabet executives told investors, even as publishers like <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/legal/25/02/43930715/google-sued-over-ai-search-overviews-education-company-says-tech-giant-is-stealing-content-and-driving-publishers-out-of-business">Chegg sue</a> over content reuse.
Meanwhile, a report from earlier in the year suggests Larry Page is likely building a new <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/03/44184371/google-co-founder-larry-pages-ai-startup-could-change-product-manufacturing-forever-report">AI-backed startup</a> called Dynatomics, an enterprise focused on improving manufacturing processes. The Google co-founder currently has a net worth of $153 billion, making him the seventh wealthiest person in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/billionaires/profiles/lawrence-e-page/">Index</a>. Page still holds on to a considerable amount of Alphabet shares, amounting to approximately 6% of Alphabet.
