PulteGroup Inc is a homebuilder in the United States. The company mainly builds single-family detached homes and offers products to entry-level, move-up, and active-adult buyers. It also offers homebuyers mortgage financing, title, and insurance agency services through its financial services segment.

Here's a look at the Benzinga Stock Whisper Index for the week ending July 25:
Ensign Group (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ENSG#NASDAQ">ENSG</a>): The healthcare services company saw strong interest from readers during the week after reporting second-quarter financial results. The company beat analyst estimates for both revenue and earnings per share. Ensign Group also raised full-year guidance for both earnings per share and revenue after the report.
"Our local teams achieved another outstanding quarter, raising the bar again for what is possible, even in a quarter where we historically have experienced more seasonality. The clinical results they achieved continue to be the primary driver of our success," Ensign CEO Barry Port said.
The company saw strong results for its same store occupancy and also acquired new operations that Port said will help with "long-term upside." Ensign's portfolio consists of 348 healthcare operations, including 31 that are also senior living operations, in 17 states. The company owns 146 real estate assets, with 110 being operated by an Ensign affiliate.

The company <a href="https://investors.ionq.com/news/news-details/2025/IonQ-Expands-Across-APAC-Through-Strategic-Collaboration-With-Australian-Company-Emergence-Quantum/default.aspx">announced </a>a new collaboration with Emergence Quantum to co-develop electronics and materials. IonQ said the partnership will help the company's global expansion roadmap and help Australia's quantum capabilities. Most analysts have been raising their price targets on the restaurant company. Brinker will report fourth-quarter financial results in August. Analysts predict the company will show increased earnings per share and revenue on a year-over-year basis. The company has beaten analyst estimates for earnings per share in nine of the last 10 quarters and beaten estimates for revenue in seven of the last 10 quarters.

Shares have <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/movers/25/07/46586702/whats-going-on-with-hims-hers-stock-wednesday">rebounded in July </a>ahead of the company's second-quarter earnings report set for Aug. 4. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings per share of 15 cents, up from 6 cents per share in last year's second quarter. The company has beaten analyst estimates for earnings per share in six straight quarters and nine of the last 10 quarters overall. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly revenue of $549.8 million, up from $315.7 million in last year's second quarter. The company has beaten analyst estimates for revenue in more than 10 straight quarters. While this figure would be a beat, it would mark the first time the company didn't grow revenue on a quarter-over-quarter basis in some time. Truist recently <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/HIMS/analyst-ratings">maintained a Hold rating</a> on the stock and increased the price target from $45 to $48. Shares remain up over 100% year-to-date in 2025.

PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PHM#NYSE">PHM</a>) reported better-than-expected second-quarter <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/phm/earnings">EPS results on Tuesday</a>.
The company posted adjusted earnings of $3.03 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $3.00. Revenue came in at $4.40 billion, slightly below analysts&#8217; expectations of $4.41 billion.
Net new orders fell to 7,083 homes from 7,649 in the prior-year quarter, with the dollar value of new orders declining to $3.9 billion from $4.4 billion. The company ended the quarter with a backlog of 10,779 homes valued at $6.8 billion.
&#8220;Our disciplined business practices continue to deliver strong results in a competitive housing environment,&#8221; CEO Ryan Marshall said. &#8220;We&#8217;re encouraged by improving consumer activity in response to recent pullbacks in interest rates.&#8221;
PulteGroup shares fell 1.4% to trade at $119.52 on Wednesday.

It was a quiet Tuesday on Wall Street, as major indexes edged lower with investors pausing ahead of a critical <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/magnificent-seven">wave of tech earnings.</a>
By midday trading in New York, the S&amp;P 500 dipped 0.1% and the Nasdaq 100 slipped 0.5%, pulling back after hitting fresh all-time highs on Monday. The Russell 2000 outperformed, rising 0.6%.
Weak corporate results weighed on sentiment. Philip Morris International Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PM#NYSE">PM</a>) plunged 9.5% after missing revenue forecasts. Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LMT#NYSE">LMT</a>) dropped more than 8% on a double miss, and General Motors Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GM#NYSE">GM</a>) lost 5.5% after warning of a steeper-than-expected tariff hit in the second half of 2025.
Health care led sector gains, while tech stocks lagged, as attention turns to earnings from Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>), and Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) which are slated to report earnings on Wednesday. 
On the macro front, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the U.S. will meet with Chinese officials next week to continue trade negotiations. That raised hopes for an extension to the August 12 China tariff deadline.
In the bond market, the 10-year Treasury yield fell for a fifth straight session to 4.33%, its lowest level in over a week. Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar index dropped 0.4%, extending its slide for a third day.
Gold climbed 0.9% to $3,420 per ounce, the highest since June 16, as uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve's independence and Chair Jerome Powell's future fueled safe-haven demand.
In crypto, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) rose 1.4% to $119,000, extending its rebound alongside broader market hedging flows.
