<h2 class="wp-block-heading">TSLA: Chart Whisperers Go Bullish</h2>
Tesla stock has closed above the closely watched 200-day simple moving average (currently at $294.06) and is trading comfortably above its five, 20 and 50-day exponential moving averages — a classic hallmark of a strong bullish trend.
The eight-day and 20-day simple moving averages are both giving firm buy signals, with prices well above those levels. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator prints a healthy 11.17 and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 64.77 — suggesting momentum without overheating.
To top it off, Tesla just confirmed a triple bottom formation, a technical pattern, repeatedly bouncing off the support at around $225. This technical chart pattern often precedes sustained bullish reversals. Charts indicate a clear bullish uptrend from here, with key support zones at $289 and $225.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Robotaxi Dreams Vs. China Blues</h2>
While Wall Street is fixated on Musk's promised robotaxi debut in Austin next month — albeit with "maybe 10–20 vehicles" — China remains Tesla's Achilles' heel. The company slid to <a href="https://cnevpost.com/2025/05/12/automakers-share-china-nev-market-apr-2025/">eighth</a> place in China's new energy vehicle market in April, capturing just 3.2% share, down sharply from 7.5% in March.
BYD Co Ltd (OTCPK:BYDDF) (OTCPK:BYDDY) continues to dominate the Chinese NEV space, posting a staggering 268,778 units sold in April. Tesla's local deliveries dropped nearly 9% year-over-year. And yet, none of this has derailed the current rally.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Back In The Trillionaire Club</h2>
Thanks to a nearly 7% pop on Monday, Tesla rejoined the $1 trillion market cap club. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>), Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) and Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) are also members.
The bigger surprise is just how fast sentiment flipped. CEO Elon Musk's decision to dial down his political involvement and refocus on Tesla may have rekindled investor faith. Although David Sacks, the White House&#8217;s &#8220;crypto czar,&#8221; recently <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/04/45094266/elon-musk-isnt-completely-out-of-doge-hes-just-in-maintenance-mode-says-david-sacks-if-he-doesnt-theres-gonna-be-a-huge-backsliding" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">stated </a>that Musk was not completely out of DOGE.
If momentum holds and robotaxi execution doesn&#8217;t stumble, Tesla may be turbocharged for the second half of the year.

One of the main reasons Farina highlighted is Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) Dominance. While relatively high, he points to historical trends where a drop in Bitcoin&#8217;s market share from around 40% to 30% has historically signaled the beginning of an &#8220;altcoin season.&#8221;
He suggests such a shift could serve as a powerful catalyst for a broader altcoin market breakout, which can further push XRP toward a 4X rally from its current levels. It could help the token hit the notable $10 mark.&nbsp;
"If $XRP hits $10, you can bet it'll hit $100," Farina tweeted. Adding to this positive market sentiment, the XRP/BTC trading pair has moved upward and surged by more than 7% in the past week. This short-term price increase is particularly noteworthy as it occurs within a potentially bullish technical formation.
On the XRP/BTC chart, a falling wedge pattern has emerged. This pattern, which is characterized by converging lower highs and lower lows, often signals a weakening of selling pressure and the possibility of a strong upward breakout.
Technical indicators are also showing signs of bullish resurgence, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) climbing to 62 and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicating a bullish crossover.
A factor supporting the positive outlook is the recent resolution of the legal case between Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). With XRP no longer classified as a security in the U.S., Ripple has gained the regulatory green light to offer the token to financial institutions.

Wall Street opened Tuesday with cautious gains after inflation data for April came in cooler than expected, calming investor concerns over <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/economics/macro-economic-events/25/05/45374267/inflation-eases-in-april-as-trumps-tariffs-dont-push-prices-higher">tariff-driven price spikes. </a>
April's inflation report showed consumer prices rising 2.3% year over year, slightly below the 2.4% forecast and down from the previous month's reading of 2.4%. On a monthly basis, prices increased 0.2%, rebounding from March's 0.1% decline but missing expectations of a 0.3% gain.
Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, held steady at 2.8% annually—matching both March&#8217;s figure and economists' forecasts. Month over month, core prices rose 0.2%, a modest acceleration from March's 0.1% increase but still softer than the expected 0.3%.
Shelter remained a major contributor to inflation, rising 0.3% in April and accounting for over half of the monthly increase in the overall Consumer Price Index. Meanwhile, several categories posted price declines, including airline fares, used cars and trucks, communication services and apparel.
Despite inflation coming in below forecasts, expectations for interest rate cuts held steady. Traders still see just an 8% chance of a cut in June, rising to 38% for July. Markets continue to price in a total of 60 basis points in rate reductions by year-end, well below the almost 75 basis points priced a week ago.
The Nasdaq 100 led major benchmarks, rising 0.37% and on track to open at its highest level in 10 weeks.

Alongside the ET9 milestone, NIO is refreshing several key models in its lineup.
Beginning May 10, customers in China can place pre-orders for updated versions of the ES6 SUV, EC6 coupe SUV, and the ET5 and ET5 Touring sedans. Solana Price Climbs as On-Chain Activity Accelerates: Can the Rally Hold?

Landsea Homes (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LSEA#NASDAQ">LSEA</a>) shares are trading higher on Tuesday. On Monday, the company inked a definitive deal to be acquired by Apollo Global Management, Inc.&#8216;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/APO#NYSE">APO</a>) managed portfolio company of funds, New Home, for an enterprise value <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/g45362998/new-home-co-to-acquire-landsea-homes-corporation-creating-a-top-25-national-homebuilder" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">of around $1.2 billion</a>.
As per the deal, New Home will acquire Landsea Homes for $11.30 per share in an all-cash transaction.
This purchase price represents a premium of around 61% to Landsea Homes&#8217; closing share price on May 12, 2025, the last trading day before the announcement.

Upon completion of the transaction, Landsea Homes will become a privately held company, and its common stock will no longer be listed on Nasdaq.
This transaction is supported by Apollo Funds, the majority shareholder of New Home since 2021, who are committing $650 million of new cash equity to facilitate this credit-enhancing transaction and position the business for future growth.
The transaction has been unanimously approved by the Landsea Homes Board of Directors and is expected to close early in the third quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
Following the successful completion of the tender offer, New Home will acquire all remaining shares not tendered through a second-step merger at the same price.
The combined entity is expected to provide homebuyers with a wide array of housing choices, including single-family detached and attached homes, across rapidly expanding markets in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
This combination will establish an asset-light, returns-focused homebuilder with nearly 4,000 annual closings.
John Ho, Chief Executive Officer of Landsea Homes said, &#8220;We believe this transaction with New Home will deliver immediate cash value to our stockholders at a significant premium and provide us with a strong, well-capitalized partner to accelerate our next phase of growth.&#8221;
In a separate release, Landsea reported first-quarter 2025 adjusted loss per share of 5 cents, exceeding the consensus estimate of 9 cents loss, while sales&nbsp;of $310.8 million <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/g45364862/landsea-homes-reports-first-quarter-2025-results" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">missed the Street view of&nbsp;$312 million</a>.
Price Action: LSEA shares are up 60.2% at $11.24 at the last check on Tuesday.

<li>In conjunction with the checkerboard, Tamboran and DWE have entered into a binding agreement whereby DWE will acquire a non-operating and non-controlling interest in 100,000 acres within two areas for a consideration of US$15 million. The transaction is subject to certain conditions precedent and regulatory approvals.</li>
<li>On completion, Tamboran will have retained approximately 1.9 million net prospective, development-ready acres across the Beetaloo Basin.</li>
<li>Tamboran has reserved 406,693 gross acres as its Phase 2 Development Area, located immediately north of the Pilot Area, where Tamboran plans to focus development on supplying gas into Australia's East Coast domestic gas market.</li>

Future working interests are subject to participation of parties in the Joint Venture.</li>
