This comes as broader markets rebound this week following recent commentary from President Donald Trump on <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44940900/us-futures-dollar-jump-amid-trumps-latest-comments-on-fed-nikkei-rebounds-to-three-week-high">Federal Reserve leadership</a>. However, Palantir's momentum is also being driven by its expanding footprint in defense and government tech.

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on April 15 to praise American farmers and bash China and former President Joe Biden. But farmers and other users on the popular <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Agriculture/comments/1jzu7px/can_anyone_make_sense_of_how_this_applies_to/">r/Agriculture</a> subreddit were left scratching their heads, asking: What was he actually trying to say?
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trump&#8217;s Truth Social Rant</h2>
&#8220;Our farmers are GREAT, but because of their GREATNESS, they are always put on the Front Line with our adversaries, such as China, whenever there is a Trade negotiation or, in this case, a Trade War,&#8221; Trump <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114342518862792060">wrote</a>.

He went on to claim that during his first term, China was &#8220;brutal&#8221; to U.S. farmers, but he told them to &#8220;just hold on&#8221; and rewarded them with $28 billion in &#8220;payments.&#8221; He added that the deal was successful until &#8220;Crooked Joe Biden came in and didn&#8217;t enforce it,&#8221; claiming China &#8220;largely reneged&#8221; on their commitments.
Trump then pivoted to a separate issue, stating that China had recently backed out of a Boeing aircraft deal. He concluded the post by promising: &#8220;The USA will PROTECT OUR FARMERS!!!&#8221;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Reddit Users: Confused and Unimpressed</h2>
The post quickly became a hot topic on the subreddit, where farmers and others in the ag community attempted to unpack the message.
The original poster asked, &#8220;Can anyone make sense of how this applies to farmers in the present?&#8221;
One top reply summed up the confusion: &#8220;You&#8217;re already putting more thought into it than he did.&#8221;
A recurring theme in the comments was that Trump appears to be laying the groundwork for another round of tariffs on China—and another round of bailouts for farmers who get caught in the crossfire.
&#8220;He&#8217;s gearing up for another farmer bailout, having yet again destroyed their export market and ability to actually harvest crops,&#8221; wrote one user.

Another pointed out: &#8220;In his first term, his tariff war with China caused many farmers to lose money and go broke. Eventually, he had to give them money as a bailout.&#8221;
But critics say those bailouts were not funded by China, as Trump implies, but by American taxpayers.
&#8220;The money he gave to the farmers last time&#8230; oh, that was from the money Americans paid for the tariffs at that time,&#8221; one user said. &#8220;The farmers were just given the average person&#8217;s money.&#8221;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">&#8216;China Bad&#8217; Isn&#8217;t a Policy</h2>
Many commenters noted that Trump's messaging seemed designed more for rallying support than explaining any actionable policy.
&#8220;It&#8217;s Donald Trump, it isn&#8217;t supposed to make sense, it&#8217;s just buzzword soup,&#8221; wrote one farmer. &#8220;He initiates <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/03/44217379/china-hits-soybeans-with-tariffs-its-largest-us-import-along-with-other-agri-products-here-a-list-of-stocks-and-etfs-that-could-be-impacted">policies that hurt farmers</a>, then deflects to China.&#8221;
Another summarized the speech like this: &#8220;My tariffs are great. China, which buys a lot of what our farmers sell, is horrible when it retaliates. I will bail them out, I promise. In the meantime, the Biden administration sucks and how dare China not take possession of Boeing planes, which clearly have nothing to do with our farmers except that I just thought of it – farmers are great.&#8221;

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Farmers Still Feel the Fallout</h2>
Beyond the jokes and criticism, several farmers expressed real anxiety about the economic outlook if Trump's trade approach continues.
&#8220;Farmers in my area are terrified,&#8221; one user wrote. &#8220;They are <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/03/44569043/mark-cuban-warns-of-red-rural-recession-as-hundreds-of-small-town-maga-supporters-reportedly-lose-fe">losing their livelihoods</a>.&#8221;
Others noted that Trump's trade war with China led to long-term damage in U.S. agriculture, especially the soybean and beef sectors, where China turned to Brazil and Australia instead. Those markets have not fully recovered. &#8220;Brazil picked up the orders and neither country looked back.&#8221;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">So What Did Trump Mean?</h2>
Despite hundreds of comments and dozens of attempts to translate Trump's post into something actionable, the consensus on Reddit was simple: There's no apparent policy here, just political spin.
&#8220;It doesn&#8217;t even create anger or rage anymore,&#8221; one user said. &#8220;It&#8217;s just plainly boring.&#8221;

A senator <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/25/03/44194484/congressman-on-digital-assets-subcommittee-buys-bitcoin-etf-before-trumps-strategic-reserve-announcement">who bought shares</a> of a Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) ETF before President Donald Trump announced an Executive Order to establish Strategic Bitcoin Reserves has added more shares to his portfolio, bringing his total bet on Bitcoin up to the $375,000 to the $850,000 range since February.
 What Happened: Senator David McCormick (R-PA) has been actively buying shares of the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BITB#NYSE">BITB</a>) and may have taken advantage of a dip in Bitcoin&#8217;s price during March before the recent rally back <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/25/04/45007049/bitcoin-etfs-see-442m-daily-inflow-as-btc-hovers-around-94000">to the $95,000 level.</a>
According to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/gov-trades/members/david-mccormick">Benzinga's Government Trades page</a>, McCormick recently made the following trades:

McCormick's involvement in the Subcommittee on Digital Assets and his heavy trading in a Bitcoin ETF in 2025 could continue to raise red flags as the pro-crypto White House administration may look to establish a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve and buy Bitcoin.
"Senator McCormick is trading alongside his Subcommittee's mission – he just reported buying a quarter million dollars of Bitwise Bitcoin ETF $BITB," CongressTrading <a href="https://x.com/congresstrading/status/1915428824344314000">tweeted </a>after the latest filing.

Why It's Important: McCormick is a member's committee assignment that could draw red flags to the purchase and the timing of the trades.
On the day of McCormick's earlier ETF purchase (Feb. 26), he was part of the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Digital Assets's first hearing.
"2025 is the year for digital assets. Blockchain and digital assets offer Pennsylvania and America a chance to lead the next wave of innovation, enhancing our national security and our economy. Proud to be a member of the inaugural Senate Banking Subcommittee on Digital Assets," McCormick&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/SenMcCormickPA/status/1894897925907448082">tweeted</a>.
The Senator has been perceived as being friendly to the cryptocurrency sector, which prompted an endorsement from a key crypto figure in his 2024 Senate race.
McCormick, the former CEO of Bridgewater Associates, a hedge fund, narrowly won a Senate seat in the 2024 election. During his Senate campaign, McCormick<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/10/41420792/coinbase-ceo-brian-armstrong-supports-republican-dave-mccormick-for-pennsylvania-senate-se"> was endorsed by </a>Coinbase Global CEO Brian Armstrong for his support of crypto.
"If you live in Pennsylvania, you should vote for Dave McCormick. He is the better candidate on crypto (among many other credentials," Armstrong said at the time.
A Senator buying Bitcoin ETFs could signal support for the leading cryptocurrency. The purchase and timing could also raise red flags and continue the ongoing debate over whether members of Congress should be able to profit from buying and selling stocks, options, and cryptocurrencies.

Senator On Digital Assets Committee Buys More Bitcoin ETF Shares: '2025 Is The Year For Digital Assets'

New York's adult-use cannabis market is poised to be one of the most robust in the country—but only if local governments allow it to be. While headlines focus on licensing delays and court battles, a quieter yet equally damaging problem continues to stall market growth: local municipalities opting out of legal cannabis retail. And no region illustrates this challenge more clearly than Long Island.
As co-founders of a licensed cannabis dispensary still awaiting local approval, we've seen up close how a vocal minority—often armed with misinformation—can block access to safe, legal cannabis. This is not just a Long Island issue; it's a national and even global challenge. But here, the disconnect is especially striking. Long Island is home to nearly 3 million people, with a mature consumer base and close proximity to New York City. Yet vast portions of Nassau and Suffolk Counties remain cannabis deserts.
The opportunity cost is staggering. According to&nbsp;Newsday, Long Island municipalities brought in nearly $3.5 million in 2024 alone from legal cannabis sales—with the Town of Babylon accounting for over $2.6 million of that total. Babylon's success story underscores what's possible when communities embrace a legal, regulated market. By contrast, towns that continue to opt out are missing out on vital tax revenue, job creation, and new investment that could breathe life into underused commercial spaces.
Some of the opposition we've encountered has felt less like a debate over zoning or public safety, and more like a battle of cultural values. In one recent hearing, a nearby church voiced concerns that echoed long-standing fears about cannabis that have been disproven time and again. We respect all voices in the community, but it's important that policy decisions are based on facts—not outdated stigma, moral panic, or personal belief systems. This is, after all, a legal industry in New York State. It deserves to be treated like one.
There's also a broader shift underway. Countries like Germany, Canada, and Uruguay have already embraced reform. In the U.S., support for cannabis legalization has reached historic highs, with more than 70% of Americans in favor according to Gallup. And yet, despite this global momentum and widespread domestic support, many Long Island towns remain stuck in the past. As of 2024, only 4 out of 13 towns on Long Island have opted in to allow cannabis retail, according to regional zoning data compiled by local attorneys at Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP.
Opponents often cite concerns about underage use, impaired driving, and declining property values. But multiple studies—and over a decade of real-world data from legal states—show no increase in teen use near dispensaries, no long-term spike in DWIs, and no negative effect on home values. In fact, legal cannabis businesses are among the most tightly regulated in the country.
We believe the real path forward lies in education. The cannabis industry must do more than show up—we have to inform, engage, and build trust with the communities we hope to serve. 
For investors and national stakeholders eyeing New York's market, Long Island offers a critical lesson: state-level legalization doesn't guarantee local access. To build a truly functional, scalable cannabis industry, we need public education, local advocacy, and long-term investment in community relationships.
The cannabis conversation is evolving—globally, nationally, and yes, even on Long Island. It's time for local leaders to catch up with their constituents and embrace the reality: legal cannabis is here, and with the right support, it can be a powerful driver of economic and social good.

Shares of PepsiCo Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PEP#NASDAQ">PEP</a>) tanked after the company reported a sales decline for the first quarter on Thursday.

<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/59638168988ca80001c2ff6a/bryan-spillane">Analyst Bryan Spillane</a> maintained a Neutral rating while reducing the price target from $155 to $150.
PepsiCo reported its quarterly results broadly in line with consensus estimates, Spillane said in a note. Management&#8217;s 2025 earnings guidance reflects tariff costs of around 40 cents per share, he added.
There is a lack of clarity around a recovery in US salty snacks, given the macro volatility, Spillane stated. The company's earnings are expected to decline by around 11% year-on-year in the second quarter, $2.03 per share, "as weaker Frito sales/operating deleverage plays out, hampered further by a $76mil gain to corporate operating profit in the base period," he wrote.

Goldman Sachs On PepsiCo
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/58aed4dcb85e9300013bf4da/bonnie-herzog">Analyst Bonnie Herzog</a> reiterated a Buy rating and a price target of $160.
PepsiCo's first-quarter results were "broadly in-line with subdued investor expectations," with earnings coming in at $1.48 per share, versus consensus estimates of $1.49 per share, Herzog said. The results were disappointing but not surprising, he added.
"Given higher expected supply chain costs related to tariffs, elevated macroeconomic volatility, and a subdued consumer backdrop," management lowered their full-year EPS growth guidance to around flat, from their prior projection of mid-single-digit growth, the analyst wrote. 
While 2025 is shaping up to be a challenging year, PepsiCo's growth could reaccelerate, supported by earlier comps, initial return on investments, Continued strength internationally and increased focus on innovation, he stated.
PEP Price Action: Shares of PepsiCohad declined by 2.04% to $132.55 at the time of publication on Friday.

PepsiCo Posts In-Line Results As Guidance Reflects Tariff Costs, Analysts Say

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/oil">crude oil has</a> been struggling lately, breaking below critical support levels, and experts are taking notice. 
According to Adam Turnquist, chief technical strategist for LPL Financial, "Oil has struggled recently as tariff-related demand concerns weigh on risk appetite."
<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Tariff Woes Weigh On Oil Prices</h1>
The U.S. government's recent 10% tariff on oil imports, combined with China's retaliatory 125% tariff on U.S. goods (including oil), has spooked markets, fueling fears of reduced global oil demand.
The impact of the tariff tensions is evident in the International Energy Agency&#8217;s (IEA) decision to cut its 2025 demand growth forecast by 300,000 barrels per day to just 730,000. 
Turnquist noted, "The White House's recent tariff of 10% on oil imports &#8230; and China's retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods &#8230; have stoked fears of reduced global economic growth and oil demand."
With the global outlook dimming, oil prices have taken a sharp downturn.

<h1 class="wp-block-heading">OPEC+ Adds Fuel To The Fire</h1>
The supply side isn&#8217;t providing much relief either. After months of delays, OPEC+ announced an unexpected supply increase of 411,000 barrels per day starting in May. 
This is partly to punish members like Kazakhstan for not adhering to output restrictions. OPEC+ may even hike supply again at its next meeting on May 5, which could further pressurize the market.
<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Technical Breakdown: A Bearish Flag Pattern Emerges</h1>
From a technical standpoint, WTI has plummeted to multi-year lows, breaking key support near $64. Turnquist describes the pattern as a "bearish flag," indicating heightened risk for further downside. If oil closes below $60, he warns, it could signal a drop toward $55-$56 as the next level of support.
<h1 class="wp-block-heading">USO ETF Follows Suit</h1>
The United States Oil Fund LP (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/USO#NYSE">USO</a>), a popular proxy for oil, has mirrored this decline. The ETF is currently down 11.30% year-to-date and 8.79% over the past month.

Oil Drops Below Key Support: Is $55 The Next Stop For West Texas Intermediate?

Goldman Sachs analyst James Schneider maintained a Buy rating on T-Mobile US, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TMUS#NASDAQ">TMUS</a>) on Thursday, with a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/T/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">price target of $285</a>, up from $280.
Schneider expects the stock to trade lower following results that reflected relatively in-line financial metrics and postpaid phone net additions despite a modest uptick in financial guidance.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The analyst noted that, based on his conversations, investors expected a greater upside in postpaid phone net additions and an uptick in guidance, following the company&#8217;s historical pattern, especially in light of the acquisitions closed in the quarter.

Despite the higher promotional activity and churn metrics reported by all wireless carriers in the quarter, Schneider continues to see the wireless market backdrop as very healthy, given the ongoing plan price increases implemented by all carriers in recent months.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The analyst expects the company to continue its core wireless growth algorithm, with broadband driving the next chapter of growth.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Between AT&amp;T Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/T#NYSE">T</a>), Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VZ#NYSE">VZ</a>), Comcast, and T-Mobile, industry phone net additions are +853k in first-quarter of 2025 or 203k Y/Y which compares to +1,056k in first-quarter of 2024. This implies that industry growth remains relatively healthy but with a slowing growth rate.
On the residential broadband side, AT&amp;T (including DSL), Verizon (total consumer fixed + FWA), Comcast Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CMCSA#NASDAQ">CMCSA</a>), and T-Mobile US, Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TMUS#NASDAQ">TMUS</a>) (FWA) net additions were +596k in the first quarter of 2025 or -33k Y/Y, compared to 629k in the first quarter of 2024.
This implies that the industry is slowing somewhat.
Schneider does not expect the tower stocks to move significantly, as CapEx guidance was consistent with prior commentary.
T-Mobile <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/44995935/t-mobile-shares-drop-despite-better-than-expected-q1-report-details" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported revenue of $20.89 billion</a>, just above Schneider&#8217;s estimate of $20.78 billion and above the Street (VA) at $20.64 billion, with an upside in equipment revenue.
Postpaid phone net additions came in at +495k, which is just above Schneider&#8217;s estimate of +486k but below the Street estimate of +499k. Meanwhile, high-speed internet net additions of +424k were above the analyst estimate of +399k and the Street estimate of +396k.
T-Mobile updated guidance for 2025. Postpaid net customer addition guidance remains 5.5-6.0 million (5.5-6.0 million prior), versus the analyst estimate of 6.03 million and the Street at 5.87 million.&nbsp;&nbsp;

T-Mobile Beats Estimates, But Customer Growth Leaves Investors Wanting More, Says Analyst

<a href="https://europeancapitalinsights.substack.com/p/swiss-franc-soars-as-trump-tariffs?r=3nmatg">A rise in global trade </a>tensions and growing uncertainty surrounding US economic policies under President Donald Trump have spurred investors to seek safe-haven investments.
Investors have turned to the<a href="https://x.com/eurocapinsights/status/1915806434765291776"> Swiss franc </a>for safety, given Switzerland's economic stability and moat against geopolitical risk. They have also turned to German Bunds to protect their investments.
In 2025, the franc became the top currency performer among G10 currencies, outperforming even the Japanese yen. As of mid-April, the USD/CHF pair had exceeded the levels last seen since the Swiss National Bank (SNB) abandoned its 1.20 franc per euro floor in 2015. Hovering just above 0.80, this is the lowest US dollar traded against the franc in almost 14 years.
The surge in the Swiss franc reflects capital outflows from the US into Swiss assets following Trump's aggressive tariff policies. Between April 3 and April 6, Trump's trade restrictions wiped out over $10 trillion in global equity value.

"Investors are looking outside of the US for a safe, rule-of-law and we-can-rely-on-it government, with a well-run economy," April LaRusse, Head of Investment Specialists at Insight Investment,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ft.com/content/88f47b5b-c12c-49f1-ad3b-61545510c80d">said</a>.
LaRusse pointed at the&nbsp;<a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/%5EMOVE/">ICE BofA MOVE Index</a>, a measure of Treasury market volatility, which recently hit a one-year high, reinforcing the sentiment about turbulent expectations for the US Treasuries.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Trump Tariffs Spark Refuge in German Bunds</h2>
In previous cycles, the US bond market offered a cushion against equity sell-offs. This year has witnessed both asset classes tumble in tandem due to capital flight from the dollar.
However, Switzerland's $1 trillion economy is too small to absorb all the foreign interest, despite its debt capital market being as big as its GDP and increasing.

Thus, foreign capital also sought refuge in the German Bund. They currently yield around 2.50%, significantly higher than the Swiss 10-year bonds, which yield around 0.42%.
Bunds have rallied despite being jarred by Germany's aggressive fiscal expansion. The 10-year US-German yield spread widened by 30 basis points, reaching a 207 basis point difference on April 11. This development showcased the Bunds' strength as a perceived haven.
The German bond market accounts for around €4.2 trillion ($4.77 trillion), significantly smaller than the $28.6 trillion in the US. It also has around one-tenth in volume, limiting its ability to absorb large capital inflows.
As Steven Major, HSBC's Global Head of Fixed Income,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/rates-bonds/safe-european-home-scared-money-seeks-german-bunds-mike-dolan-2025-04-10/">said</a>: &#8220;Bunds offer better value as a safe haven with yields still elevated after the recent shift in fiscal policy&#8230;But they simply can't match the depth and liquidity of US Treasuries.&#8221;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Foreign Investors Undeterred by German Recession</h2>
Not even the risk of a&nbsp;<a href="https://europeancapitalinsights.substack.com/p/german-euro-area-economic-sentiment?r=3nmatg">German recession&nbsp;</a>has deterred foreign interest. The German Composite Purchasing Managers' Index&nbsp;<a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/euro-zone-business-growth-stalls-april-pmi-shows-2025-04-23/">fell to 50.1 in March</a>, narrowly remaining above the 50 threshold, which divides expansion and contraction.
<a href="https://www.euractiv.com/section/economy-jobs/news/german-economic-forecast-slashed-to-zero-outgoing-minister-blames-trump-tariffs/">Germany cut</a>&nbsp;its economic forecast from 0.3% growth to zero for 2025, predicting a year of stagnation after a two-year recession. Earlier this week, the International Monetary Fund also projected that Germany would stagnate this year.
Speaking to Bloomberg Television on Wednesday, April 23, Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-04-23/germany-facing-recession-risk-on-tariffs-bundesbank-chief-warns">noted</a>&nbsp;that Europe is in a "stagnating situation." He added that a jump in public spending should help the economy, taking an optimistic stance that such a plan is possible without an inflationary effect.
The European Central Bank cut rates three times this year, bringing the benchmark interest rate from 3.15% to 2.40%.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Swiss Central Bank Faces Rates Dilemma</h2>
While the Eurozone believes it can handle its higher public spending without an inflationary effect, after last month's rate cut, the SNB faces a dilemma. A strong franc exerts downward pressure on import prices and could reignite deflationary trends that Switzerland spent years trying to escape.
&#8220;For us as a small, open economy, the negative interest rate instrument is important,&#8221; governing board member Petra Tschudin&nbsp;<a href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/swiss-national-bank-generation-change-does-not-alter-policy-board-member-says-2025-02-14/">said</a>&nbsp;in February. &#8220;It allows us to manage the interest rate differential even in a low interest rate environment.&#8221;
After an eight-year stint, SNB ended its negative interest rate policy in 2022. However, speculation persists that the central bank could be forced to reconsider.
Switzerland experienced a far more stable monetary environment, with interest rates peaking at 1.75% before five rate cuts, including a 50 bps cut on December 12, 2024.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Goldman Sachs Predicts SNB Cuts to Negative Rates</h2>
Goldman Sachs considers SNB the only major central bank to resume&nbsp;<a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-04-14/snb-seen-resisting-urge-to-go-negative-in-fight-over-franc-gains">sub-zero rates</a>. The US investment bank projected a 25-basis-point cut to -0.25% by June. In contrast, most market participants see the SNB merely lowering the policy rate to zero.
This development would be troubling for Swiss bankers and savers. Negative interest rates compel banks to pass on costs to their clients, as the interest differential that generates revenue becomes negligible. Credit markets get distorted and risk appetite surges due to cheap capital.
UBS economist Maxime Botteron noted that limited franc sales by the SNB could already be underway, but he did not expect systematic interventions.
&#8220;Interventions are more flexible than interest rate cuts – the SNB can go into the market, sell some francs to ease the appreciation, and then stop,&#8221; he&nbsp;<a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/swiss-francs-surge-tariff-turmoil-pressures-snb-act-2025-04-23/">said</a>.
With inflation remaining low and the risk of deflation returning—especially if the franc continues appreciating—the SNB's decision could be urgent.

B Of A Securities analyst Ronald J. Epstein raised the price forecast for GE Aerospace (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GE#NYSE">GE</a>) from $225 to $230 <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/ge/analyst-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">while retaining a Buy rating</a>.
On Tuesday, the company reported first-quarter 2025 adjusted revenue growth of $9 billion, in line with the consensus estimate of $9 billion, and adjusted EPS of $1.49 (+60% year-over-year), exceeding the consensus estimate <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/44921124/ge-aerospace-expands-q1-operating-margins-ceo-talks-cost-control-to-mitigate-tariff-impact" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">of $1.26</a>.
GE Aerospace expects adjusted revenue growth in the low double digits and adjusted EPS of $5.10 – 5.45 <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">vs. the $5.10 consensus</a>.
The analyst writes that, unlike companies vulnerable to a surge in tariffs, General Electric appears well-protected thanks to proactive mitigation efforts, its market strategy, and operational resilience.

Although the company anticipates a $500 million tariff-related cost, it has maintained its guidance, notes the analyst.
Epstein continues to expect low-double-digit growth for General Electric in 2025.
The analyst says that General Electric&#8217;s strong aftermarket, with 90% of second-quarter spare parts orders already in hand, should provide a buffer against margin pressure from the anticipated acceleration in Original Equipment (OE) business.
While Epstein doesn&#8217;t foresee significant headwinds in the second half of 2025, the broader risk of softening travel demand could be a headwind for GE.
Further weakening of the macro environment affecting travel or additional aerospace trade restrictions could pose a headwind to GE&#8217;s commercial sector, Epstein added.
He raised EPS estimates to $5.45 (from $5.40) for 2025, to $6.65 (from $6.60) for 2026, and to $7.65 (from $7.60) for 2027.
Investors can gain exposure to the stock through the TCW Transform Systems ETF (NYSE: <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PWRD#NYSE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PWRD</a>) and the iShares U.S. Aerospace &amp; Defense ETF (BATS:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ITA#BATS">ITA</a>).
