Ramit Sethi, author of "I Will Teach You To Be Rich," recently threw cold water on the idea of relentlessly saving money and viewing that as a good thing.
"I don't find it inspiring to idolize people who spend as little money as possible," he stated in an <a href="https://x.com/ramit/status/1914342932187840615">X post</a>.

While he doesn't advocate for a reckless YOLO mentality when it comes to money management, he also doesn't believe we should be celebrating the 92-year-old who died with millions of dollars. Sethi is one of the few financial experts to dive deep into the nuance of cheap vs. frugal living. Here's what you can learn from his X post.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Spend Money Extravagantly On What You Love</h2>
People shouldn't be afraid to spend money when it's on things that matter. Sethi views these people as inspirations, but it's not going to do much good if you have thousands of dollars in credit card debt. He reaches a middle ground that can help people look for better role models and set better financial goals.
"I'm inspired by the people who spend their money extravagantly on the things they love while cutting costs mercilessly on the things they don't. If someone buys a $2,000 handmade blanket made by an artisan they've followed for 12 years, amazing."

The handmade blanket example is valuable because it's a high-end purchase with thought. Making impulsive purchases can put you deeper into debt and result in you having a bunch of things that you don't really need. If you say no to many expenses, the few things you say yes to hold more value.&nbsp;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Turn Off The Survival Mindset</h2>
Although a budget is a good resource to keep your spending under control, it can become problematic if you only view life with a survival mindset. Sethi believes in creating a rich life instead of one that revolves around penny-pinching.
"I'm not inspired by building a life around how little you can spend. What a tragedy to live a smaller life than you have to," he stated.&nbsp;
Budgeting and investing give you more options. When you have more money, you can go on more trips, spend on things that you enjoy, and have more financial security. Ruthlessly cutting out waste allows you to optimize every dollar you spend to maximize your personal satisfaction.&nbsp;

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Don't Idolize Anyone</h2>
Sethi's X post garnered plenty of support, as people agreed about building wealth that you could use from time to time. However, one X user shared a valuable insight that is deeper than money.
"I don't find it inspiring or wise to idolize anyone. Money and greed pursuits are the distraction that so many become obsessed with even as it derails their ability to achieve actual happiness."
To be clear, you can make a lot of money and be happy at the same time. However, some people pursue and save far more money than necessary. In some of those cases, the greedy and reckless pursuit of excessive money can hurt relationships and pull people further away from happiness.
It's also impossible to know anything about a public figure who you idolize. People only show the parts of them that they want to be seen. People who are viewed as idols very carefully craft their images and only show you their best. It's better to consider the type of person you want to become and actively walk on that path.

Ramit Sethi Claps Back At Living Cheaply: 'I Don't Find It Inspiring To Idolize People Who Spend As Little Money As Possible'

Bitcoin has surprised many analysts and investors by holding its ground amid ongoing volatility in U.S. equities. While traditional risk assets have stumbled, BTC has shown resilience, attracting attention as a potential safe haven — or at least, a less correlated play.
As of April 21, Bitcoin is trading at $87,151 — about 20% below its all-time high of $110,000. From current levels, it needs to gain another 26% to reclaim those highs. But that path is rarely linear, especially in the current macro environment, and price action is now approaching a critical zone.

Early this month, BTC dipped to a low of $74,450 before rallying aggressively. Since then, the bounce has been impressive, but bulls are now facing a familiar challenge. Bitcoin is currently testing the $88,000–$88,440 region — a key resistance zone that has rejected price on two prior attempts. So far, we&#8217;re seeing signs of another rejection, making this a level worth watching closely.
A confirmed breakout and successful retest of $88,000 as support could signal a shift in momentum and potentially open the door for a push toward the next key area: $92,000. If that level gets taken out with conviction, the path to new all-time highs becomes far more realistic, as liquidity thins and price discovery takes over.
However, the bullish trend on lower timeframes has a clear line in the sand — the $83,000 level. This is the structural support zone that bulls must defend to keep the short-term uptrend intact. A break below could lead to deeper pullbacks and increased selling pressure, possibly dragging BTC back into the mid-$70Ks for another retest.

What makes this setup particularly interesting is the contrast between Bitcoin&#8217;s relative strength and the broader market's weakness. With the S&amp;P 500 and NASDAQ showing signs of fatigue, BTC&#8217;s ability to diverge may attract new capital — especially if it continues to hold above $83K and builds a base above $88K.
In summary, Bitcoin is nearing a make-or-break moment. If bulls can reclaim $88,000 and push toward $92,000, the next leg up could take us into uncharted territory. But if the rejection holds and $83,000 fails, a deeper correction could be on the table before the next major attempt at new highs.
Either way, the next few sessions will be crucial in setting the tone for the coming weeks.

Ng, a co-founder of Google Brain and longtime educator in machine learning, said in a <a href="https://x.com/AndrewYNg/status/1907843984158036137?t=9eHIjEj07rCMxFe_tmNS3w=19">post on X</a> on April 3&nbsp; that "lazy prompting"—providing minimal context when inputting information into large language models—can often be more effective than carefully crafted instructions.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Developers Are Doing More With Less</h2>
"Lazy prompting" refers to using as little instruction as possible when asking an LLM for help. Ng explained that many developers simply copy and paste error messages—sometimes several pages long—into AI models like ChatGPT, and receive accurate suggestions for fixes without providing further context.
"We add details to the prompt only when they are needed," Ng wrote in the post. "Most LLMs are smart enough to figure out that you want them to help understand and propose fixes."
The approach is especially popular among software engineers using generative AI tools to write and debug code.
Ng cited this workflow as a form of "<a href="https://x.com/karpathy/status/1886192184808149383">vibe coding</a>," a term introduced by OpenAI co-founder Andrej Karpathy in February, described a new approach to<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/03/44522899/anthropic-ceo-says-ai-could-write-90-of-code-in-3-to-6-months-warns-every-industry-will-be-affected"> software development</a> where AI tools handle the bulk of coding tasks.

Ng's comments come just days after <a href="https://x.com/AndrewYNg/status/1904929635043074478?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">he launched</a> "Vibe Coding 101," a new online course aimed at beginners learning to use AI tools for programming. The course emphasizes natural language input as a key skill for modern developers.
While prompting guides typically recommend including detailed context to get more accurate results from LLMs, Ng argued that in some cases, simpler inputs perform just as well—particularly when the model is capable of interpreting intent without being told explicitly.
