Food safety solutions provider Neogen Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NEOG#NASDAQ">NEOG</a>) shares are <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/movers" rel="noreferrer noopener">trading higher on Monday</a> after selling its Cleaners &amp; Disinfectants Business.
The company has finalized an agreement to divest its worldwide cleaners and disinfectants division to Kersia Group, a leading company in hygiene and biosecurity solutions, in a cash transaction valued at $130 million.
The agreement includes additional contingent payments based on the business's future performance. The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to conclude in the first quarter of FY26.

"We expect Kersia's prioritization of investment and growth in the biosecurity market will benefit the business and provide sharpened strategic focus to maximize its potential for continued growth."
Proceeds from the sale will enable Neogen to eliminate its $100 million revolving credit debt, following a recent refinancing move.
The company expects the transaction to improve profit margins and lower its net leverage ratio by roughly 0.4x on a pro forma basis.
Neogen's disinfectant and cleaning product line, which brings in about $60 million in yearly revenue, supports various livestock markets such as poultry, swine, and ruminants.
Price Action: NEOG shares traded higher by 7.14% at $4.71 at last check Monday.

Testing Firm Neogen Offloads Cleaners Division To Kersia In $130 Million Deal

Bank of America Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BAC#NYSE">BAC</a>) shares are trading lower by 2.2% to $36.60 during Monday&#8217;s session amid overall market weakness. The company last week reported first-quarter fiscal 2025 results, with results that <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/44811593/bank-of-america-ceo-says-consumer-continues-to-spend-and-maintain-healthy-credit-quality-sticks-to-annual-outlook">topped Wall Street expectations</a>. 
The bank posted net income of $7.4 billion, up from $6.7 billion a year earlier, with earnings per share of 90 cents, beating the consensus estimate of 81 cents. Revenue rose 6% to $27.37 billion, driven by growth in both noninterest and net interest income.
Bank of America's Consumer and Global Banking divisions posted slight profit declines, while Global Markets and Wealth Management showed gains. Credit loss provisions rose 12% to $1.48 billion. The CET1 capital ratio slipped to 11.8%, though book value per share rose 8% to $36.39.
CEO Brian Moynihan emphasized consumer resilience and reaffirmed the bank's long-term strategy, but analysts noted rising macro risks and revised down forecasts, potentially contributing to the stock's decline despite the otherwise strong quarter.

(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NASDAQ">PLTR</a>) are trading lower Monday amid broader market weakness following cautious comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44866378/whats-going-on-with-palantir-stock-today">last week</a> and President Donald Trump&#8216;s <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/04/44896834/dollar-hits-3-year-lows-us-stocks-tumble-as-trump-threatens-to-fire-powell-contrarians-of-the-world-unite">criticism of Powell.</a>
What To Know: On Wednesday, Powell warned that tariffs could push inflation higher and said the economy is showing signs of slowing, which spooked investors and raised concerns about future federal and commercial spending—key revenue sources for Palantir.
This drop comes despite several major developments for the company over the past month. Palantir was named in reports linking it to President Trump's proposed missile defense system, the "Golden Dome," alongside SpaceX and defense firm Anduril. Around the same time, the company announced a new partnership with Anthropic to bring its Claude AI model to U.S. government agencies through Palantir's FedStart platform.
Palantir also closed a fast-tracked <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/content/44836938/nato-deal-sparks-4-jump-in-palantir-stock-whats-next">deal with NATO</a> for its Maven Smart System NATO (MSS NATO), a military AI platform designed to support intelligence and battlefield operations. The deal went from concept to signed contract in six months, a fast timeline for NATO procurement.
Despite these wins, Morgan Stanley cut its price target on Palantir from $95 to $90 while maintaining an Equal-Weight rating. The stock is still up over 300% in the past year but is now reacting more to macroeconomic risks than individual contract wins.
The stock remains technically strong in some areas, trading above its 20- and 200-day moving averages, but it dipped below its 50-day average and is showing mixed momentum signals.

Palantir Stock Tumbles As Broader Tech Weakens: What's Going On?

Gilead Sciences, Inc.&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GILD#NASDAQ">GILD</a>) on Monday released topline results from the Phase 3 ASCENT-04/KEYNOTE-D19 study of Trodelvy&nbsp;(sacituzumab govitecan-hziy) plus Merck &amp; Co Inc&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MRK#NYSE">MRK</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care">Keytruda&nbsp;(pembrolizumab)</a>.
The trial demonstrated that Trodelvy plus Keytruda&nbsp;significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) compared to Keytruda and chemotherapy in patients with inoperable (unresectable) locally advanced or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC) whose tumors express <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/04/b44895548/trodelvy-plus-keytruda-demonstrates-a-statistically-significant-and-clinically-meaningful-improvem" rel="noreferrer noopener">PD-L1 (CPS ≥ 10)</a>.
The study met its primary endpoint, showing a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in PFS.

The safety profile of Trodelvy plus Keytruda in the ASCENT-04 study was consistent with each agent&#8217;s known safety profile. No new safety signals were identified with the combination.
&#8220;These findings are the first to show the transformative potential of an antibody-drug conjugate combined with an immuno-oncology agent in early treatment lines of metastatic breast cancer,&#8221; said Dietmar Berger Chief Medical Officer, Gilead Sciences.
Overall survival (OS) is a key secondary endpoint and was not mature at the time of the PFS primary analysis. However, in the ASCENT-04 study, there was an early trend in improvement for OS with Trodelvy plus Keytruda.
Gilead will continue to monitor OS outcomes, with ongoing patient follow-up and further analyses planned.
Detailed results from the study will be presented at a future medical meeting and discussed with regulatory authorities.
The use of Trodelvy plus Keytruda in patients with previously untreated PD-L1+ metastatic TNBC is investigational, and the safety and efficacy of this use have not been established.
Trodelvy is the only approved Trop-2-directed antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that has demonstrated meaningful survival advantages in two types of metastatic breast cancers: 2L+ mTNBC and pre-treated HR+/HER2- mBC.
It is a Category 1 preferred treatment for both indications per the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines) and the only ADC with an ESMO Magnitude of Clinical Benefit Scale (MCBS) rating of 5 for mTNBC.
Trodelvy also has an MCBS rating of 4 for women with HR+/HER2- mBC.
Currently, Gilead has three ongoing Phase 3 studies investigating Trodelvy across HER2- (IHC 0, IHC 1+ or IHC 2+/ISH–) mBC, including the upcoming ASCENT-03 pivotal trial in 1L mTNBC patients who are not candidates for PD-L1 based therapy, the ASCENT-05 pivotal trial in patients with early-stage TNBC, and the ASCENT-07 pivotal trial in patients with HR+/HER2- mBC who have received endocrine therapy.
Trodelvy is also being investigated in additional Phase 3 studies in other disease settings, including lung and gynecological cancers.

But they are actually two&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/0b428c4f-94a3-4eca-867a-9071583c8777?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ways of communicating</a>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/a5308509-c43c-4f32-bf7f-4cbaa8184f4e?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">same information</a>. The differentiating factor: The passage of time.

As time passes and information emerges,&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/22f4dde1-df4a-49a9-86c4-a3295477d6df?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">analysts will adjust those estimates</a>. Historically,&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/0188d832-2a15-4595-90b0-d82599b8c1ad?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">analysts tend</a>&nbsp;to gradually&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/48d4d293-0e8e-4b9c-8595-53393df0b0a3?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">revise down</a>&nbsp;these calendar year estimates. However,&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/342af7c2-b95c-4bef-97d5-e237a475db0b?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">time can pass quickly</a>. And with calendar year estimates, what was once a discussion about future earnings can quickly become a discussion about past earnings.
For example, at the beginning of the year, 2025 earnings represented the next-12 months' (NTM) earnings. But it's April now, which means any discussion of 2025 earnings involves an old quarter, and any discussion of&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/8a401c08-d6f9-4731-8f55-3d98263a93bd?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NTM earnings</a>&nbsp;involves a quarter in 2026.
Morgan Stanley's Michael Wilson shared a nice side-by-side visualization of this somewhat confusing dynamic. The chart on the left shows the S&amp;P 500's NTM earnings per share (EPS). As time passes, you can see NTM EPS move up as it continuously incorporates the higher earnings expected in future periods.
The chart on the right shows EPS estimates for 2025 and 2026 — static periods in time. As time passes, you can see how analysts' estimates have moved lower in recent months.

"NTM EPS estimates continue to advance on the back of stronger 2026 EPS growth," Wilson observed. "However, NTM EPS may show signs of flattening in recent weeks as 2025/2026 estimates revise slightly lower (-1%)."
To be clear, both charts employ the same analysts' estimates for earnings. They just differ in the way they reflect the effect of the passage of time.
And the two charts are currently telling us that the promise of earnings growth on a rolling future basis is more than offsetting deteriorating expectations for static periods.
This is important&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/342af7c2-b95c-4bef-97d5-e237a475db0b?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">in the context of valuation metrics</a>&nbsp;like the&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/03d88312-205c-4fe0-bd16-37890cbc0883?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">forward price-earnings (P/E) ratio</a>. If earnings are expected to grow, then forward earnings (E) will rise as time passes. This leads to downward pressure on P/E ratios.
Be mindful in this uncertain environment&nbsp;
As&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/379e1d53-9bdd-4f7c-ac3f-c8c272798793?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">we discussed last week</a>, there are currently a lot of issues with analysts' earnings estimates.&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/99def433-1d70-418f-862d-84d02780ab03?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Uncertainty is very high</a>, and there&#8217;s evidence that the&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/10ab8cb9-cce7-4aae-8f16-a8168741bcf3?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">earnings estimates</a>&nbsp;out there right now&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/379e1d53-9bdd-4f7c-ac3f-c8c272798793?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">are stale</a>.
But again, both visualizations are working off the same estimates. So if we believe the estimates for E is off, discussions about both NTM and calendar year estimates will similarly be off.
The bottom line: Be mindful about what you read and hear about earnings estimates. While it can be helpful to know what's going on with revisions in certain calendar years, the information for a particular year will become less relevant as time passes. This is why it's arguably more useful to look to NTM earnings because stock prices are&nbsp;<a href="https://substack.com/redirect/b700d46e-4ff3-40fa-997e-e505338cd526?j=eyJ1IjoiNThoaTNqIn0.oQOskqZ_hj7KyeETRBdER4rAvQcgl0VTn-sq5tqKUD0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">heavily determined by expectations for the future</a>.

Aptevo Therapeutics Shares Halted On Circuit Breaker To The Downside, Stock Up 4.42%

JPMorgan analyst Andrew C. Steinerman slashed the price forecast of ManpowerGroup (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MAN#NYSE">MAN</a>) following its first-quarter <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44864777/why-staffing-firm-manpowers-stocks-are-plunging-on-thursday" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">fiscal year 2025 results reported last week</a>.
The company reported a sales decline of 7.1% year-on-year to $4.09 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $3.96 billion, and adjusted EPS was 44 cents, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">missing the consensus of 50 cents</a>.
ManpowerGroup expects second-quarter EPS of 65 cents to 75 cents, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">versus an estimate of 95 cents</a>.
Steinerman cut the price forecast from $65 to $50 while<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/MAN/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener"> retaining a Neutral rating.</a>
The analyst notes that higher SG&amp;A expenses contributed to the EPS miss, owing to ongoing investments in the back-office transformation efforts.
The analyst acknowledges the company&#8217;s decision to provide second-quarter guidance amid the highly uncertain environment, a step many companies might avoid.
However, concerns around tariffs go well beyond the near term, and the market&#8217;s negative response likely reflects unease over the limited visibility into potential longer-term impacts, adds the analyst.
The analyst says that management caveated their cautious outlook by highlighting potential upsides from a resolution in U.S.-European trade tensions, which could boost staffing demand.
Additionally, Manpower's view that ongoing trade disputes may drive greater economic self-sufficiency in Europe, notes the analyst.
Steinerman lowered adjusted EPS estimates for FY25 to $3.01 (from $4.03) and for FY26 to $5.33 (from $6.45).

Gold is trading higher amid a drop in the US dollar.

J.P. Morgan says Perrigo Company plc&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PRGO#NYSE">PRGO</a>) first-quarter 2025 earnings will be dominated by commentary on the potential impact of tariffs. The analyst says, &#8220;Tariffs could potentially have a significant impact on PRGO&#8217;s near-term earnings.&#8221;
Analysts forecast adjusted earnings of 55 cents per share, with <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">sales of $1.09 billion</a>.
Analyst Chris Schott says tariffs could lead the OTC drugs company to a low to mid-single-digit impact on global COGS on an annualized basis, and that the company expects to offset this impact with supply chain efficiencies and price actions.

<li>Since PRGO operates with lower profit margins than its peers, it&#8217;s harder for them to absorb these extra costs.</li>
</ul>
Schott says it&#8217;s hard to predict the short-term impact on Perrigo&#8217;s business, since higher costs without raising prices could hurt its earnings. However, the company is expected to pass most of those cost increases on to consumers, so any effect on its earnings beyond 2026 should be small.
&#8220;Net-net, while tariffs will clearly impact near-term earnings (which is obviously less than ideal with PRGO just seeing a rebound in earnings following its 1H24 nutritional headwinds), we anticipate the company to be able to largely offset said impact by 2026,&#8221; Schott writes.

BofA Securities analyst Sara Senatore provides an analysis for restaurant sector performance in the first <a href="https://trello.com/c/f3PFGoRF/331021-restaurants-q1-previewbofa">quarter</a>.
Restaurant demand showed mixed results due to weather and a calendar shift, said the analyst. 
Black Box industry data revealed a deceleration in same-store sales growth (SSSG) across all segments from January to February, but March saw improvement, excluding Fine Dining. 
Restaurant spending growth improved in March, with chain spending recovering from -7.5% in February to -3.5%.
Independent restaurants saw a rise in spending, from -2.7% in February to +1.3%. The rebound was attributed to better weather and the impact of the calendar shift in February. 
In the first quarter, prices for soybeans, wheat and soybean oil continued to deflate, though at a slower rate than in the fourth quarter of FY24.

Coffee prices surged, increasing by 96.8% year-over-year, up from 56.8% in the fourth quarter. Beef inflation rose to 5.5%, compared to 1.3% in the previous quarter.
Cheese prices decreased by 1.8%, while dairy inflation slowed to 1.3%. Futures markets predict deflation in several commodities in the second quarter of 2025, but coffee, natural gas and beef are expected to see inflation, noted the analyst.
Restaurants index in the S&amp;P 500 is trading at 1.2x forward EPS, below its 5-year, 10-year and 15-year averages of 1.4x.
Industry data indicates a demand recovery in March after weak months in January and February. While consensus expectations for restaurants remain high, first-quarter results may fall short of estimates. 
Investors are focused on April trends and the potential impact of tariffs on consumer sentiment, traffic and COGS inflation.

'Amazon Has Paused Some Data Center Lease Commitments, Wells Fargo Says'- CNBC

Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WBA#NASDAQ">WBA</a>) on Monday said it will pay $300 million to resolve federal allegations that the company filled millions of invalid prescriptions for opioids <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/opioids">and other controlled substances</a>.
Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Justice filed a civil complaint against Walgreens and its subsidiaries, alleging widespread violations of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/43104245/justice-department-accuses-walgreens-of-violating-drug-laws-in-opioid-epidemic-ignored-red-flags-in-opioid-crisis" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">False Claims Act (FCA)</a>.
The settlement, announced by the Justice Department, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG), addresses violations of the Controlled Substances Act and False Claims Act.
An additional $50 million will be <a target="_blank" href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/walgreens-agrees-pay-350m-illegally-filling-unlawful-opioid-prescriptions-and-submitting" rel="noreferrer noopener">owed</a> if Walgreens is sold or merged before fiscal year 2032.
Sycamore Partners agreed to acquire Walgreens for $11.45 per <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/03/44377660/walgreens-executive-chair-stefano-pessina-seeks-to-strengthen-control-with-nearly-double-stake" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">share in March</a>.
Federal authorities alleged that from August 2012 to March 2023, Walgreens knowingly dispensed millions of controlled substance prescriptions that raised serious red flags.
These included excessive opioid quantities, early refills, and combinations known as the "trinity," a high-risk cocktail of drugs often linked to abuse. Despite clear signs these prescriptions lacked legitimate medical purposes, Walgreens pharmacists were allegedly pressured to prioritize speed over due diligence.

According to the complaint, Walgreens&#8217; internal practices further contributed to the misconduct. Compliance officials reportedly failed to act on substantial evidence of unlawful dispensing. The company allegedly withheld critical information from pharmacists, including internal prescriber data, and blocked efforts to warn colleagues about potentially problematic prescribers.
The Justice Department accused Walgreens of creating an environment that discouraged pharmacists from taking necessary steps to ensure valid prescriptions.
Alongside the financial settlement, Walgreens has agreed to implement long-term compliance measures. For example, it will require pharmacists to verify the legitimacy of controlled substance prescriptions. It will also conduct annual training, and ensure staffing levels support legal compliance.
Walgreens must also block prescriptions from prescribers known to issue illegitimate prescriptions.
Separately, Walgreens entered into a five-year Corporate Integrity Agreement with HHS-OIG, which establishes a comprehensive compliance program. The process includes employee training, oversight by the company's board, and regular reporting to HHS-OIG regarding controlled substances.
Following the settlement, the U.S. government moved to dismiss its complaint. Walgreens will seek to dismiss a related declaratory judgment case filed in Texas.
In November, Walgreens agreed to pay $100 million to settle a proposed class action lawsuit over its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/24/11/41741814/walgreens-agrees-to-100-million-settlement-over-alleged-deceptive-pricing-of-generic-drugs">Prescription Savings Club</a>.

Walgreens Must Pay $300 Million In Opioid Case, Additional $50 Million If Sold Or Merged Before 2032

Pfizer Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PFE#NYSE">PFE</a>) is scheduled to release its first quarter 2025 <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care" rel="noreferrer noopener">earnings on 29 April</a>.
Analysts forecast adjusted earnings of 70 cents per share with <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/03/b44377465/pfizer-invites-public-to-view-and-listen-to-webcast-of-april-29-conference-call-with-analysts" rel="noreferrer noopener">sales of $14.26 billion</a>.
BofA updated its earnings model for 1Q25 as analyst Tim Anderson lowered total revenue estimates by -2.1%, primarily due to updated assumptions regarding the impact of Part D on the portfolio and tweaks to Paxlovid seasonality. EPS follows, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">decreasing by -4.9%</a>.
For 2025 and 2026, BofA increased total revenue estimates slightly (&lt;1%), partly related to updated FX assumptions and smaller product-level revisions. The analyst increased EPS estimates by +1.2% and +5.3%.

Citing a relative pharma group whose P/E multiple has recently declined due to tariff and drug pricing fears, BofA has reduced Pfizer&#8217;s price target from $29 to $26, reiterating its Neutral rating.
Pfizer&#8217;s stock is trading at about 7 times its expected 2024 earnings, which is lower than the peer average of around 11 times (excluding Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/lly#NYSE">LLY</a>)).
It also offers a high dividend yield of about 8%, which could help keep the stock price from falling much further. The BofA analyst notes that the long-term growth outlook is weaker than average due to upcoming patent expirations and rising competition for some of its key products.
Anderson says the focus of the earnings call will likely include:

<li>A few months into the new administration, there is still uncertainty about how agencies like the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) will operate under new leadership.

<li>Pfizer has manufacturing facilities in Belgium, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and Singapore. Like many other companies, it hasn't commented yet on how possible <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/tariffs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">pharmaceutical tariffs</a> might affect its profit margins or earnings per share. Analysts will likely get the best chance to ask management about this during the first-quarter 2025 earnings call.

The shift in political posture appears to have reignited confidence among crypto firms, many of which are now seeking stronger ties with policymakers and government institutions.
The $12.27 million total from crypto firms represents one of the largest sector-specific fundraising blocs for the inauguration, placing the industry alongside energy, finance, and technology in political influence.

Ripple, Coinbase, Solana Among Crypto Firms Contributing Over $12M To Trump's Inauguration Fund

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) is increasingly being compared to gold as investors examine macroeconomic dynamics and shifting <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/forex/25/04/44893412/gold-rallies-to-record-dollar-drops-global-markets-today-while-us-slept">global monetary sentiment</a>.
What Happened: Prominent trader Unipcs on Monday <a href="https://x.com/theunipcs/status/1914196230042681638">pointed</a> out that gold recently hit a market capitalization of $22.785 trillion, up $7 trillion in just 10 months. 
Bitcoin sits at $1.7 trillion, representing just 7.46% of gold's market value and 24% of its recent gains. Bitcoin is &#8220;incredibly undervalued&#8221; and primed to catch up, according to the trader.
Financial commentator IncomeSharks highlighted that $7 trillion is currently parked in money market funds, with around $14 trillion expected to flow into risk assets like stocks and crypto over the next 10–20 years, largely through wealth transfers.
In an appearance on CNBC on Monday, Tom Lee, Head of Research at Fundstrat, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF7ndR5TtAU">said</a> that institutional selling due to de-leveraging weighed on Bitcoin earlier this year. 
However, with that phase now over, Bitcoin is positioned to rise and catch up with gold as a non-dollar asset.

What's Next: In an X post on Monday, Bitcoin commentator Stack Hodler emphasized the need to stop measuring wealth in U.S. dollars, urging a shift toward Bitcoin, gold and Swiss francs as more accurate barometers of value.

In a follow-up <a href="https://x.com/stackhodler/status/1914248395121713388">post</a>, he called Bitcoin and gold "hard money" without counter-party risk, dubbing this the &#8220;most important thesis of the decade.&#8221; 
He noted that the global monetary order is shifting, and while gold will benefit from its status and liquidity, Bitcoin will outperform in gains. 
Stack Hodler also credited Larry Fink's ETF timing as strategic, stating a major capital wave is on the way.
