The QQQ ETF pulled in $7.2 billion of net inflows in May, according to TradingView&#8217;s fund flow data. That marks the second-largest monthly inflow in the ETF's 10-year history, only trailing November 2024's $9.2 billion surge that followed Donald Trump's presidential victory.
Fueled by a 9% rally in the Nasdaq 100 — its best month since November 2023 — the fund crossed $330 billion in assets under management, consolidating its position as the fifth-largest ETF globally.

The rally followed a breakthrough in U.S.-China trade relations. On May 11, both countries agreed to a 90-day trade truce, slashing average tariff rates by 115 percentage points.
U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods dropped from 145% to 30%, while Beijing reduced duties on American imports from 125% to 10%.
"The temporary deal puts greater pressure on the two countries to develop a mutually amicable agreement," LPL Financial chief economist Jeffrey Roach said in a recent note.
The deal provided immediate relief to export-heavy sectors — especially tech hardware, semiconductors and software services — and helped fuel the Nasdaq's broad-based rally.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Magnificent Seven&#8217;s Dominance Strengthens</h3>
The Magnificent Seven stocks played a central role in QQQ's surge, continuing the momentum from their historic $1.75 trillion of combined market-cap gain in May.
Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) jumped 23.5%, becoming the second-best performing Nasdaq 100 stock in the month. 
Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) gained 20.9%, while Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>) and Microsoft Corp. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NYSE">MSFT</a>) posted monthly gains of 19.4% and 16.5% respectively.

Why It's Important: The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust remained the most-searched ticker for a second straight month. Nvidia also ranked second for a second straight month.
New to the top three in May was Palantir, which jumped from seventh place in April to third place in May. The ticker has been popular among investors and ranked in the top 10 each month this year. The third-place ranking is the top for Palantir in 2025.
Tesla fell from third to fourth place, following a fall in April from first to third place. With the highly anticipated launch of Tesla robotaxis in June, the stock could attract more attention and find its way back into the top three spots.
The list of the top 10 most-searched tickers in May included five new stocks compared to the list from April. This included Super Micro Computer jumping back into the top 10 after falling out of the top 20 in April. The stock has been popular among investors this year and saw its highest place on the list since February during the month of May.
D-Wave, a quantum computing stock, also returned to the top 10, ranking 8th in May. Hims &amp; Hers also moved back into the top 10, ranking ninth after previously being outside the top 20 in March and April and ranking 9th in February.
New to the top 10 in May that hadn't been in the top 20 any month this year were United Health and Asset Entities. United Health saw an executive transition announced and was reported to be the subject of a DOJ investigation, a claim the company later denied.
Asset Entities announced a merger and plans to become a Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45550814/asset-entities-stock-has-skyrocketed-over-the-last-month-whats-going-on">holding treasury company</a>. SharpLink, which ranked 13th, also made a similar announcement but instead of investing in Bitcoin, the company <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/cannabis/25/05/45695750/sharplink-gaming-sbet-stock-soars-over-2600-in-a-week-on-ethereum-treasury-deal">is establishing an </a>Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>) treasury.
CoreWeave, which went public on March 28, narrowly missed out on the top 10 with an 11th-place ranking for the month of May. The ranking could signal continued popularity for the cloud computing company a month after its IPO.
Advanced Micro Devices, Invesco QQQ Trust and Amazon.com were the three tickers in the 11th to 20th rankings that previously ranked in the top 20 in April, coming in at 18th, 4th and 13th, respectively.
This marked a significant fall for the Invesco QQQ Trust, which ranked fourth in March and April. This could signal less interest in the Nasdaq 100 and technology stocks during the month.

Ramsey went on to say that people with real wealth typically don&#8217;t waste time trying to look rich. &#8220;Most people who aren't broke don't give a crap what you think,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Because the way they achieved that first layer of wealth ($1–10 million net worth) is that they didn't do it for you. They were not living their life to impress others.&#8221;
He added that once people stop caring about outside opinions, their financial behavior usually changes: &#8220;You tend to make completely different purchases and live a completely different lifestyle.&#8221;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">It Takes Money To Make Money?</h2>
On a recent episode of &#8220;<a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@daveramsey/video/7473250511299317038">The Ramsey Show</a>,&#8221; a 25-year-old caller named Nathan asked for guidance after inheriting just over $200,000 when his father passed away. Nathan, who earns $35,000 a year, asked whether he should invest the money in a business to become a millionaire by his 30s.

Ramsey told him to slow down. &#8220;You&#8217;re calling very wisely to start to gather some wisdom about something you don&#8217;t know anything about,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You have never driven a car before and someone just gave you car keys.&#8221;
He said the idea, which Nathan referenced, that &#8220;it <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/03/44133292/it-takes-money-to-make-money-is-an-excuse-broke-people-make-dave-ramseys-response-to-caller-seeking-advice-about-200k-inheritance">takes money to make money</a>,&#8221;&nbsp; is flawed: &#8220;That&#8217;s a statement that broke people say as an excuse to not become broke people.&#8221;
Ramsey continued, &#8220;Can you make money using money? Sure. But actually, the vast majority of people who build wealth do not build it because someone handed them $200,000. They build it because of their habits and their character.&#8221;
Ramsey&#8217;s advice to Nathan was simple: shift away from excitement and toward more measured, even boring financial decisions. &#8220;Your job is to manage this money as if it&#8217;s someone else&#8217;s money and you&#8217;re managing it for them. Your job, first, is not to lose it. Your job, second, is to maximize it.&#8221;

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">You Don't Need A Six-Figure Salary To Become A Millionaire</h2>
In a 2023 Facebook <a href="https://www.facebook.com/daveramsey/posts/most-millionaires-dont-drive-flashy-cars69-of-millionaires-did-not-average-10000/787410102748606/">post</a>, Ramsey said that &#8220;69% of millionaires did not average $100,000 or more in household income per year – and (get this) one-third of millionaires never had a six-figure household income in their entire careers.&#8221;
So how did they do it? Ramsey says it <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/24/12/42396143/69-of-millionaires-never-earned-a-six-figure-salary-here-are-2-things-they-do-to-get-their-first-1-million-according-to-dave-ramsey">comes down to two major things</a>: consistently investing in retirement accounts and owning a paid-for house.
His 2024 <a href="https://www.ramseysolutions.com/retirement/the-national-study-of-millionaires-research?srsltid=AfmBOoo588H0CoZR9i-5t5mYZ-8xLMopvb22E_Xwhe7CEcDpqdTeccjF">study</a> found that eight out of 10 millionaires participated in their company&#8217;s 401(k) plan, and 75% also invested outside of it. They avoided risky single-stock investments and instead stuck with diversified <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/mutual-funds">mutual funds</a>, contributing regularly and letting compound interest do the heavy lifting.
The second major factor is a paid-off house. Ramsey noted that most millionaires had $500,000 to $600,000 of their net worth in a home they owned outright.
Broke people often stay broke because they focus on appearances and bad advice instead of long-term habits. Becoming a millionaire has less to do with income and more to do with discipline, patience and ignoring noise from those who aren&#8217;t where you want to be.

Broke People Love To Give Financial Advice, Says Dave Ramsey. They're Scared You'll Outpace Them By 'Doing Smart Things With Money'

Pinterest Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PINS#NYSE">PINS</a>) has made "solid progress" in growing users while improving monetization and ARPU (average revenue per user), according to JPMorgan.
The Pinterest Analyst: <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/591479b8290fa7000138e4b4/doug-anmuth">Analyst Doug Anmuth</a> upgraded the rating from Neutral to Overweight, while raising the price target from $35 to $40.
The Pinterest Thesis: Despite the progress, the company's shares are down 18% from the February highs, underperforming the 3% decline in the S&amp;P 500 during the same period, Anmuth said in the upgrade note.

Pinterest is insulated from search engine disruption, given that 85% of its MAUs (monthly active users) directly visit the app and more than 90% of its revenue is generated from the mobile app, the analyst stated.
The company is "leveraging its full funnel ad approach and automation/AI capabilities — including Performance+ — to capture a greater share of ad spending among the next tranche of advertisers ($1B-$30B in sales), while some of the larger &amp; more sophisticated advertisers already allocate 5-10% of their budgets to PINS," he wrote.
Pinterest has already achieved adjusted EBITDA margin close to 30% and there is upside to this, given its faster revenue growth and cost discipline, Anmuth added.
PINS Price Action: Shares of Pinterest had risen by 4.81% to $33.44 at the time of publication on Tuesday.
