Archer last week announced an <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42464770/whats-going-on-with-archer-aviation-stock-today">exclusive partnership</a> with Anduril Industries to develop hybrid Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft for defense applications, targeting potential U.S. Department of Defense programs. 
To fund this initiative and support general operations, Archer raised $430 million in additional equity, bringing its total capital raised to nearly $2 billion. Major investors include Stellantis, United Airlines, Wellington Management and the UAE's 2PointZero.

Benzinga reached out to Novo Nordisk&#8217;s media team but has not heard back. 
One study analyzed data from 424,152 diabetic patients, of which 106,454 were treated with Ozempic.
Another study, <a target="_blank" href="https://via.ritzau.dk/pressemeddelelse/14181495/dansk-diabetesmedicin-oger-risikoen-for-svaert-invaliderende-ojensygdom?publisherId=12056383&amp;lang=da" rel="noreferrer noopener">conducted</a> in collaboration with the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, examined 44,517 Danish and 16,860 Norwegian Ozempic users between 2018 and 2024.
Both studies revealed an association between Ozempic and an increased occurrence of NAION. Researchers noted a doubling in the risk and highlighted that the annual NAION cases in Denmark rose from 60-70 before 2018 to approximately 150 cases annually after Ozempic&#8217;s introduction.
Over the past six months, the Danish Medicines Agency has closely monitored NAION as a potential adverse reaction to semaglutide.
Since July, 19 cases of NAION linked to Ozempic have been reported in Denmark, contributing to the European database of side effects.
While earlier data and studies were insufficient to confirm a link, the new research strengthens the suspicion and prompts a more detailed review by PRAC.
Director of Department Line Michan emphasized the rarity of NAION and stated that while the findings warrant investigation, they do not conclusively prove that Ozempic is the direct cause. Other factors, such as the underlying health of diabetic patients, could also contribute to the condition.
PRAC&#8217;s evaluation will determine if regulatory actions or warnings are needed to address this potential safety concern.

Cognition Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CGTX#NASDAQ">CGTX</a>) revealed positive results from the exploratory Phase 2 SHIMMER study demonstrating that CT1812 produced strong therapeutic responses across behavioral, functional, cognitive and movement measures in patients with dementia <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/12/g42550419/cognition-therapeutics-announces-positive-results-in-phase-2-study-of-ct1812-in-dementia-with-lewy" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">with Lewy bodies (DLB)</a>.
The SHIMMER Phase 2 study enrolled 130 patients with mild-to-moderate DLB who were randomized to receive one of two oral doses of CT1812 or placebo daily for six months.
Results indicated the study met its primary endpoint of safety and tolerability. Data show that DLB patients treated with CT1812 for six months experienced improvement in behavioral, functional, cognitive and movement measures compared to placebo.
There was an 82% slowing in the total neuropsychiatric inventory (NPI), with a particularly strong reduction in anxiety, hallucinations and delusions in the CT1812 treated arms.
In addition, there was a marked reduction in caregiver distress, which suggests a positive impact on the day-to-day lives of those receiving the drug.
Participants treated with CT1812 experienced a slowing decline across all three cognitive measures compared to placebo, including fluctuations in attention, which declined by 91%.
In July, Cognition Therapeutics reported that participants in the proof-of-concept Phase 2 ‘SHINE' study who were treated with CT1812 for six months showed a consistent trend in cognitive improvement compared to placebo&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/24/07/40015880/cognition-therapeutics-stock-tumbles-on-mixed-data-from-mid-stage-alzheimers-study" rel="noreferrer noopener">across all cognitive measures</a>.
In addition, there were signs of improvement in functional measures.
As of September 30, 2024, cash and cash equivalents were approximately $22.0 million. Total grant funds remaining from the NIA were $53.6 million. The Company estimates it has sufficient cash to fund operations and capital expenditures into the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/11/g41935888/cognition-therapeutics-reports-financial-results-for-the-third-quarter-2024-and-provides-business-" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">second quarter of 2025</a>.

Mullen Automotive, Inc.
