Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MA#NYSE">MA</a>) disclosed a collaboration with PayPal Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PYPL#NASDAQ">PYPL</a>) to enhance <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/b45764648/mastercard-and-paypal-to-partner-on-mastercard-one-credential-to-supercharge-choice-at-checkout" rel="noreferrer noopener">consumer choice and control during checkout</a>.
The partnership will now enable Mastercard and PayPal to co-develop new features leveraging Mastercard&#8217;s One Credential, bringing these solutions to a wider consumer base.
One Credential can also support PayPal users in developing healthier financial practices, facilitating their progression from debit to structured credit options like installments as they build creditworthiness.

Mastercard is implementing One Credential as a network-level capability globally, allowing issuers to empower consumers with choice and control on a large scale.
This initiative further strengthens Mastercard and PayPal&#8217;s established collaboration on payment solutions, which includes the PayPal Debit Mastercard and PayPal Business Debit Mastercard.
Chris Sweetland, SVP of Partnerships at PayPal, said, &#8220;We both want to reduce friction for consumers and bring them more power over how they pay.&#8221;

Mastercard, PayPal Partner To Offer Consumers More Payment Control

Visa Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/V#NYSE">V</a>) on Wednesday launched Visa Commercial Integrated Partners, which aims to enhance the connection between fintech companies and Visa&#8217;s commercial offerings via its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45538314/visa-launches-commercial-integrated-partners-to-turbo-charge-the-fintech-ecosystem" rel="noreferrer noopener">dedicated commercial platform</a>.
Through advanced APIs, Visa will enable business partners to embed its products directly into their applications. The program establishes the necessary ecosystem, technology, and framework.

Visa AR Manager streamlines virtual card transactions by automatically retrieving card account details, initiating authorization and clearing steps for the supplier, and then providing timely and useful reconciliation data to finalize invoices within the supplier&#8217;s ERP system.
This automation significantly simplifies how virtual card transactions are handled, reducing manual effort for merchants and allowing them to concentrate on their core business activities.

Visa Invests In Nigeria's Moniepoint To Drive SME Growth And Digital Payments: Details

JPMorgan Chase &amp; Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JPM#NYSE">JPM</a>) shares are trading nearly flat premarket after it reported <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/01/b42997622/jpmorganchase-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2024-financial-results" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">fourth-quarter FY24 results</a>.
Reported revenue&nbsp;rose&nbsp;11% year-on-year to&nbsp;$42.8&nbsp;billion. Net revenue (<a target="_blank" href="https://jpmorganchaseco.gcs-web.com/node/723716/html#a4q24erfexhibit991narrative.htm" rel="noreferrer noopener">managed</a>) was&nbsp;$43.7 billion&nbsp;(+10%&nbsp;Y/Y), beating the&nbsp;consensus of&nbsp;$41.707 billion.
Consumer &amp; Community Banking (CCB) revenue rose 1%&nbsp;Y/Y to&nbsp;$18.362&nbsp;billion, and Commercial &amp; Investment Bank revenue was&nbsp;$17.598&nbsp;billion&nbsp;(+18% Y/Y) in the quarter.
Investment Banking revenue was&nbsp;$2.6&nbsp;billion, up&nbsp;46% Y/Y, in the quarter. Investment Banking fees rose 49% Y/Y, led by higher fees across all products.
Asset and Wealth Management revenue was&nbsp;$5.8&nbsp;billion&nbsp;(+13%&nbsp;Y/Y), and Corporate revenue stood at&nbsp;$2.00&nbsp;billion&nbsp;(+13%&nbsp;Y/Y) in the quarter.
In AWM,&nbsp;Assets under management stood at&nbsp;$4.0&nbsp;trillion, and client assets stood at&nbsp;$5.9&nbsp;trillion&nbsp;(up&nbsp;18%), driven by higher market levels and continued net inflows.
Net interest income fell 3% Y/Y to $23.5 billion in the quarter. Net interest income excluding Markets&nbsp;stood at $23.0 billion, down 2% Y/Y, due to lower rates and deposit margin compression along with lower deposit balances in CCB.&nbsp;
Noninterest revenue was&nbsp;$20.3 billion, up&nbsp;29%&nbsp;Y/Y, in the quarter. Noninterest revenue, excluding Markets,&nbsp;increased 30% Y/Y to $13.7 billion, led by higher asset management fees in AWM and CCB, increased investment banking fees and lower net investment securities losses.
Noninterest expense decreased&nbsp;7%&nbsp;Y/Y to&nbsp;$22.8&nbsp;billion in the quarter. Average loans rose&nbsp;2%&nbsp;Y/Y and up 1% quarter-over-quarter; average deposits were up&nbsp;2%&nbsp;Y/Y and 1% Q/Q.
In CCB, Debit and credit card sales volume increased by&nbsp;8% Y/Y, and active mobile customers were up&nbsp;7%&nbsp;Y/Y.&nbsp;
In CIB, Market revenue rose&nbsp;21% Y/Y, with Fixed Income Markets increasing 20% and Equity Markets up&nbsp;22% in the quarter.
JPM&#8217;s provision for credit losses was&nbsp;$2.6 billion&nbsp;(-5%&nbsp;Y/Y), including net charge-offs of&nbsp;$2.4&nbsp;billion&nbsp;and a net reserve build of&nbsp;$267 million.&nbsp;
Net income rose 50% Y/Y to&nbsp;$14.0&nbsp;billion&nbsp;in the quarter. EPS of&nbsp;$4.81 exceeded&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">the consensus of&nbsp;$4.11</a>.
The CET1 capital ratio stood at&nbsp;15.7%, and the advanced CET1 capital ratio was&nbsp;15.8%. The bank&#8217;s capital distributions included a dividend per share of&nbsp;$1.25&nbsp;and $4.0 billion of common stock net repurchases.

Businesses are more optimistic about the economy, and they are encouraged by expectations for a more pro-growth agenda and improved collaboration between government and business.&#8221;
&#8220;However, two significant risks remain. Ongoing and future spending requirements will likely be inflationary, and therefore, inflation may persist for some time. Additionally, geopolitical conditions remain the most dangerous and complicated since World War II.&#8221;

Last year, the analyst favored Mastercard over Visa. This Analyst Prefers Visa Over Mastercard In 2025 - Here's Why

Analysts expressed views on Mastercard Incorporated&nbsp;(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MA#NYSE">MA</a>) following its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/ma/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">investor day event this week</a>.
The company anticipates a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the mid-teens for EPS over the next three years, down from its prior expectation of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">low-20s growth for 2022-2024</a>.
BMO Capital Markets analyst Rufus Hone raised the price target to $565 from $550 and reaffirmed the Outperform rating.
The analyst writes that Mastercard outlined its 2025-2027E financial targets, addressing concerns about consumer payment growth potential, commercial payment acceleration, and the sustainability of VAS growth, with its market share in VAS under 7%.
The analyst views the targets as conservative, suggesting a 2-3 percentage point deceleration in payment network revenue growth by 2027E, down from ~10% year-over year growth this year.
Hence, the analyst revised the EPS estimates downward by -2% for 2025E and -1% for 2026E, reflecting slightly higher investment spending.
Goldman Sachs analyst Will Nance says that they believe Mastercard&#8217;s message will be well-received, as the company reaffirmed its commitment to mid-teens EPS growth over time and double-digit net revenue growth.
From a stock performance perspective, the modest underperformance appears to be a result of strong year-to-date performance and the realization of some tax-related headwinds for 2025, as discussed during earnings, adds the analyst.
However, looking past these factors, the analyst continues to view Mastercard as a core holding for long-term investors, offering a compelling combination of strong competitive advantages and capital-efficient earnings growth.
The analyst revised the EPS estimates for 2025 and 2026 from $14.49 to $15.82 and $18.29 to $18.23, respectively. Also, the analyst introduced the 2027 EPS estimate of $20.91.
RBC Capital Markets analyst Daniel R. Perlin reiterated the Outperform rating with a price target of $572.
The analyst writes that Mastercard delivered a well-executed investor day, emphasizing that the secular shift in the industry still has substantial room for growth.
The company highlighted the importance of Value-Added Services (VAS) as a key differentiator, playing a pivotal role in driving its virtuous cycle, adds the analyst.
Perlin says that Mastercard also stressed that data assets are crucial in an AI-driven world and pointed out significant commercial opportunities on the horizon.
JP Morgan analyst Tien-tsin Huang maintains an Overweight rating and says that Investment Community Meeting reinforced its position as a core holding in payments, with a focus on capturing a large market through new capabilities and channels, driving transaction growth and share gains.
The medium-term outlook suggests stable premium growth and mid-teens EPS growth, adds the analyst.
The analyst writes that if execution remains strong, Mastercard is well-positioned to deliver double-digit growth with 55%+ margins.

This transformation is already underway in major markets and is expected to become widespread in the near future.
Notably, over 30% of Mastercard transactions globally are currently tokenized through Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES), with markets like India approaching 100% tokenization for e-commerce.

Reported revenue&nbsp;rose 7%&nbsp;year-on-year to&nbsp;$42.654 billion, beating the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/10/b41288439/jpmorganchase-reports-third-quarter-2024-financial-results" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of&nbsp;$41.649 billion</a>. Net revenue (managed) stood at&nbsp;$43.3 billion (+6% Y/Y) in the quarter.
Consumer &amp; Community Banking (CCB) revenue declined 3% Y/Y to&nbsp;$17.791 billion, and Commercial &amp; Investment Banking was&nbsp;$17.015 billion (+8%&nbsp;Y/Y) in the quarter.

Investment Banking revenue was&nbsp;$2.4 billion, up&nbsp;29%. Investment Banking fees rose 31% year over year, led by higher fees across all products.
Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) revenue was&nbsp;$5.4 billion (+9% Y/Y), and Corporate revenue stood at&nbsp;$3.07 billion (+97% Y/Y) in the quarter.
In AWM,&nbsp;Assets under management (AUM) stood at&nbsp;$3.9 trillion, and, client assets stood at&nbsp;$5.7 trillion (up 23%), driven by higher market levels and continued net inflows.
Net interest income increased by 3% Y/Y to $23.5 billion and&nbsp;+1% Y/Y, excluding Markets. Noninterest revenue was&nbsp;$19.8 billion, up&nbsp;11% Y/Y, in the quarter.
Noninterest revenue, excluding Markets, rose 17% to $12.7 billion, fueled by lower net investment securities losses, higher asset management fees in AWM and CCB, and increased investment banking fees.
Noninterest expense increased 4% to $22.6 billion, mainly due to higher compensation and employee growth. Average loans rose&nbsp;1% Y/Y and Q/Q; average deposits were up 1% Y/Y and Q/Q.
In CCB, Debit and credit card sales volume increased by&nbsp;6% year over year, and active mobile customers were up&nbsp;7% year over year.&nbsp;In CIB, Market revenue rose&nbsp;8%&nbsp;year over year, with Fixed Income Markets flat year over year and Equity Markets up&nbsp;27%&nbsp;year over year in the quarter.
JPM's provision for credit losses was&nbsp;$3.11 billion (+125% Y/Y), including net charge-offs of&nbsp;$2.1 billion and a net reserve build of $1.0 billion.&nbsp;
Net income fell 2%&nbsp;Y/Y to&nbsp;$12.90 billion in the quarter. EPS of&nbsp;$4.37, exceeding&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">the consensus of&nbsp;$4.00</a>.
The CET1 capital ratio stood at&nbsp;15.3%, and the advanced CET1 capital ratio was&nbsp;15.5%. The bank disclosed a dividend per share of $1.25 and a share repurchase of $6.0 billion.

The bank continues to project card&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">services NCO rate of ~3.40%.</a>
Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO, said, "We await our regulators' new rules on the Basel III endgame and the G-SIB surcharge as well as any adjustments to the SCB or CCAR&#8230;Regardless of the outcome of these rules, we have an extraordinarily strong balance sheet, evidenced by total loss-absorbing capacity of $544 billion plus cash and marketable securities of $1.5 trillion, while our riskiest assets, loans, total $1.3 trillion."

JPMorgan Chase Q3 Earnings: Investment Banking Revenue Soars 29%, Largest Bank Raises Net Interest Income Outlook

Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MA#NYSE">MA</a>) shares are trading slightly higher today. On Tuesday, the company announced that South Africa will be the first market globally to benefit from<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/10/b41234894/mastercard-accelerates-the-path-toward-real-time-card-payments" rel="noreferrer noopener"> immediate Mastercard card payments</a>.
The company will introduce new standards and solutions to accelerate card transaction processing, enabling same-day payouts for South African merchants through real-time clearing and more frequent settlements.

On October 1, 2024, the company became a substantial shareholder in The Star Entertainment Group Limited, acquiring <a target="_blank" href="https://www.starentertainmentgroup.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/03-OCT-2024-ASX-Announcement-Notification-of-Substantial-Shareholding.pdf" rel="noreferrer noopener">156.99 million </a>ordinary shares, representing 5.47% voting power.
