Amazon.com Inc&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) cloud unit chief acknowledged the company&#8217;s aggressive expansion of server farms globally and boost of access to the latest artificial intelligence chips from&nbsp;Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>).
Amazon Web Services (AWS) opened a cluster of data centers in Mexico in 2025, Bloomberg <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-05-30/amazon-pledges-to-continue-aggressive-data-center-expansion" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported</a> on Friday, citing AWS CEO Matt Garman&#8216;s interview.
Garman told Bloomberg that the cloud division is also building new facilities in Chile, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan.

Garman also acknowledged strong demand. He said AWS was working with Nvidia to expand its stock of the latter&#8217;s latest GB200 semiconductors, which are available for AWS customers to test.
Garman expressed appreciation for the opportunity to host OpenAI&#8217;s models on AWS. Recently, OpenAI received permission to explore other partnerships beyond Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>).
Wells Fargo analysts said in April that Amazon had paused some of its data center leasing talks, especially in international markets, following a similar move by Microsoft.
Microsoft abandoned data center projects in the U.S. and Europe due to an oversupply of electricity relative to current demand forecasts.
Subsequently, executives from&nbsp;Amazon and&nbsp;Nvidia <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/45001873/amazon-and-nvidia-dismiss-fears-of-ai-data-center-pullback-we-continue-to-see-very-strong-demand" rel="noreferrer noopener">dismissed concerns about</a> a potential slowdown in constructing AI data centers.

Amazon Expands Global Data Centers, Boosts Access To Nvidia AI Chips For Cloud Customers

Shares of Mullen Automotive Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MULN#NASDAQ">MULN</a>) tumbled 25.4% to $0.08 on Friday afternoon, extending recent losses following the company's announcement of a 1-for-100 reverse stock split.
What To Know: The electric vehicle manufacturer <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/stock-split/25/05/45679654/mullen-automotive-stock-is-tumbling-thursday-whats-driving-the-action">aims to regain compliance</a> with Nasdaq's $1.00 minimum bid price requirement through the reverse split, which will take effect at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 2.
Approved by shareholders at a May 21 special meeting, the split will consolidate every 100 shares of Mullen&#8217;s common stock into a single share. The move will reduce the number of outstanding shares from approximately 80 million to about 800,000. While no fractional shares will be issued, any fractional holdings will be rounded up.
Mullen&#8217;s common stock will continue trading under the symbol &#8220;MULN&#8221; on a split-adjusted basis starting June 2. However, the company cautioned that there is no guarantee the split will bring shares above the $1.00 threshold required for continued Nasdaq listing.

Mullen Automotive (MULN) Shares Plunge 25% Amid Reverse Stock Split Plans

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NASDAQ">PLTR</a>) stock surged on Friday amid reports indicating the Trump administration has <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/palantir" rel="noreferrer noopener">expanded the company's</a> work across the federal government in recent months.
Palantir is also discussing buying its technology with the Social Security Administration and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the New York Times <a target="_blank" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/technology/trump-palantir-data-americans.html" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported</a> on Friday, citing six government officials and Palantir employees familiar with the matter.
According to the report, Palantir has secured more than $113 million in contracts (new and additional funds from existing) since Trump took office. This does not include the $795 million DoD contract awarfed last week.

In March, President Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies to enhance data sharing, effectively introducing Palantir's key platform, Foundry, to at least four agencies, including DHS and the Department of Health and Human Services.
The Trump administration&nbsp;has also pursued access to various data points on citizens and others through government databases and bank accounts, the report said.
Palantir's government contracts span the Defense Department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Palantir stock has 75% year-to-date and 504% in the last 12 months.
Palantir is in discussions for a permanent contract with the IRS after joining them in April to organize data, the New York Times cited government officials familiar with the matter.
Palantir also recently began helping Immigration and Customs Enforcement's enforcement and removal operations team under a $30 million deal they inked in April, the New York Times cited Palantir employees and DHS officials familiar with the matter.
Palantir also discussed organizing the Social Security Administration and the Department of Education's data, the New York Times reported, citing Palantir employees and officials in those agencies.

Burlington Stores, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BURL#NYSE">BURL</a>) shares are trading <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/movers" rel="noreferrer noopener">slightly higher on Friday</a>.
On Thursday, the company reported first-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $1.60, beating the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45674314/burlington-beats-q1-earnings-ceo-vows-to-absorb-tariff-heat-through-gains-elsewhere" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimate of $1.41</a>. Quarterly sales of $2.50 billion missed the Street view of $2.52 billion.
The company&#8217;s CEO, Michael O&#8217;Sullivan, stated that while tariffs are expected to significantly impact merchandise margins, he is confident the company can offset this pressure in other areas of the profit and loss statement, provided tariffs do not rise beyond current levels.

Here are the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BURL/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">key analysts&#8217; views</a> on the company:
Telsey Advisory Group analyst Dana Telsey reiterated the Outperform rating on Burlington, lowering the price forecast from $340 to $300.
In an analyst note, Telsey noted that acquiring prime retail locations remains a key part of Burlington&#8217;s strategy to expand its footprint and draw in high-value customers, especially as consumers increasingly prioritize value.
However, due to macroeconomic uncertainty and rising costs tied to acquiring leases from bankrupt retailers, Telsey lowered the firm&#8217;s price forecast.
She highlighted that Burlington is adjusting its strategy and staying agile in response to current conditions.
While tariffs are creating short-term challenges, management believes it won&#8217;t cause lasting structural shifts in the retail sector.
The company&#8217;s FY25 outlook factors in a 30% tariff on imports from China and 10% on goods from other countries.
To reduce its reliance on China, Burlington is collaborating with vendors and sourcing more products already located in the U.S., Telsey noted.
She added that the company has several levers across the cost of goods sold and SG&amp;A to help offset higher costs and support profitability.
BofA Securities analyst Lorraine Hutchinson maintained the Buy rating on the stock, with a price forecast of $350.
According to Hutchinson, the increased order volatility driven by shifting tariffs could actually improve merchandise availability for the off-price sector.
She noted that Burlington&#8217;s direct sourcing exposure remains modest at 8%, mostly tied to categories like Home and gifting.
The analyst has modeled a flat gross margin for the second quarter. She anticipates 60 basis points of pressure on gross margin in the second half of the year as tariffs begin to flow through.
However, she suggested that mitigation strategies could offset this future pressure once Burlington and its vendors have had sufficient time to adjust their production processes and pricing structures.
The company has also seen strong comp performance at higher price points, with customers responding well to elevated merchandise. Hutchinson stressed that this trend will continue, especially as more price-sensitive consumers shift toward value options in response to broader retail price increases from tariffs.

Can Burlington's Profit Levers Deflect Tariff Impact? Analysts Weigh In

On Thursday, Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BBY#NYSE">BBY</a>) reported that first-quarter 2026 earnings&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/25/05/45592571/best-buy-q1-earnings-preview-analyst-flags-tariff-fallout-cuts-fy25-outlook-amid-profit-risk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">fell short of expectations</a>.
The company's first-quarter sales fell around 1% (comparable sales fell 0.7%) year over year to $8.77 billion. They missed the analyst <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus estimate of $9.22 billion.</a>
&#8220;Today we are updating our full year guidance to incorporate the impact of tariffs,&#8221; said Matt Bilunas, Best Buy CFO. The retailer now expects annual comparable sales growth to be up-or-down 1%. The adjusted operating income rate will likely be similar to last year at <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45669267/best-buy-whiffs-on-sales-earnings-tariff-pressures-mount" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">approximately 4.2%</a>.
For Q2 FY26, Bilunas expects comparable sales to be slightly down to last year. He added that the company's adjusted operating income rate will be approximately 3.6.

The company lowered its sales guidance from $41.4 billion to $42.2 billion to $41.1 billion to $41.9 billion. The consensus hovers around $41.44 billion.

Announcing the deal&#8217;s close on May 29, Scopely emphasized its commitment to continuity, stating that longtime Niantic leaders Kei Kawai and Ed Wu will continue to lead the game teams, ensuring stability for Pokémon fans and other titles. Niantic's remaining titles, &#8220;Ingress&#8221; and &#8220;Peridot,&#8221; will remain under the newly formed Niantic Spatial, still led by CEO John Hanke. Scopely's co-CEOs hinted at more acquisitions ahead, noting they evaluated over 800 companies last year.</li>

The sale to Bluebird includes most assets and comes with a $55 million lifeline in debtor-in-possession financing. Everstream remains open to better offers.</li>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Notes From The Block</h3>
New data suggests that, after several volatile years, the behavioral health sector is regaining favor among strategic and financial buyers.
In the first quarter, 47 transactions were reported, including 34 mergers and acquisitions. That&#8217;s the highest M&amp;A volume since the fourth quarter of 2022, according to investment banker Kevin Taggart.
In <a href="https://www.mertztaggart.com/post/q1-2025-behavioral-health-m-a-report">a blog post</a> published this week, Taggart explained that renewed interest in the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and autism segments was a key driver of the momentum. The firm tallied 12 transactions in Q1, the highest level since 2021.
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy providers, in particular, are back in high demand. 
"The dust has seemed to settle" following the pandemic-era wage inflation and a wave of bankruptcies among large ABA providers, Taggart, a managing partner at Mertz Taggart, wrote. That shift has led to heightened buyer interest, especially in the wake of major exits.
The mental health subsector continues to show strong and steady deal flow, too. Twenty-nine transactions (19 M&amp;A and 10 growth investments) were announced in Q1, roughly matching the 30 deals reported in Q4 2024. 
Demand for psychiatric hospitals is particularly robust, though limited supply constrains deal volume. "We've had more groups ask us for psych hospitals since Q1 this year than probably any quarter in the last three or four years," Taggart said. "But there are fewer smaller operators out there."
Taggart also pointed to an ongoing trend: sustained investor appetite for high-valuation growth deals. "Money has continued to pour into these growth deals, which surprised us a bit," he said, signaling continued bullish sentiment across behavioral health verticals.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Snapshot of Dottie's Finances</h2>
Dottie described herself as a newly single 65-year-old woman in good health. She works part time and brings in about $3,000 a month from her job, along with $1,600 in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45521151/4000-senior-bonus-tax-break-proposed-but-critics-say-its-a-consolation-prize-for-broken-social-security-promises">Social Security</a>. She plans to continue working for another three to four years.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Suze Orman: "You Are So Far Ahead"</h2>
Orman's response was immediate and enthusiastic.
"Oh, Dottie," she began, "it's not how far behind you are in retirement savings at this stage. It's how far behind you happen to be in comparing yourself to others."
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/05/45587754/i-contributed-after-tax-amounts-to-a-pre-tax-ira-can-i-withdraw-those-contributions-to-open-a-roth-account-heres-what-suze-orman-says">Orman</a> explained that many people judge their financial situation by comparing it to others — those who appear wealthier or live more extravagantly. But appearances can be deceiving. Someone might own multiple homes and drive a luxury car, but still be drowning in debt.
"You, my dear, are so far ahead," Orman said. "You have no debt. You own your car outright. You have $250,000 in your IRA. You have $350,000 in CDs, and you're going to get Social Security. Are you kidding me? You are going to be just fine as long as your expenses are always less than the money that you have coming in."

Throughout her career, Orman has emphasized a key lesson: your expenses matter more than your income. It's not about how much you earn or have saved — it's about what that money needs to cover.
To illustrate her point, Orman recalled her experience doing <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45256709/approaching-retirement-suze-ormans-2025-plan-for-safe-high-earning-cash">retirement planning</a> for Pacific Gas and Electric employees. She noted that workers with modest pensions and small savings often fared better in retirement than high-earning executives with multiple homes, expensive cars, and constant financial pressure.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Reminder for Anyone Nearing Retirement</h2>
For those approaching retirement, Orman's message is clear: don't measure your financial health against others. Instead, focus on your own expenses, your savings, and whether your income will reliably cover your needs.
"You are not behind," Orman told Dottie. "You are ahead of most everybody out there."
As long as Dottie keeps her expenses lower than her income — and continues to live within her means — Orman believes she's on track for a comfortable retirement.
