What Happened: In his latest annual <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/02/43900955/berkshire-hathaways-q4-profits-soar-71-warren-buffett-says-his-firm-has-paid-more-taxes-than-tech-titans-in-trillions">shareholder letter released</a> on Saturday, Buffett reflected on Liegl's impact, calling him "one of a kind" and praising his leadership for contributing "many billions" to Berkshire shareholders.
The "Oracle of Omaha" recounted how he was introduced to Forest River through a letter from an intermediary on June 21, 2005. He liked the company's fundamentals and quickly set up a meeting with Liegl, his wife Sharon, and his daughter Lisa in Omaha.

During negotiations, Buffett asked Liegl how much he wanted to be paid. His response was shocking: "Well, I looked at Berkshire's proxy statement and I wouldn't want to make more than my boss, so pay me $100,000 per year."
Buffett was floored but agreed. Liegl added one more request — a 10% bonus on earnings above what the company was already delivering. Buffett accepted the terms, and over the next 19 years, Liegl "shot the lights out" with no competitor coming close to his performance.

He also pointed out a notable rise in job postings for product roles, indicating a renewed focus on product innovation.
Konik anticipates a V-shaped recovery in margins by 2027, pushing earnings above current Wall Street expectations. A Jefferies survey found that more than half of U.S. consumers planning to purchase athletic footwear prefer Nike, reinforcing Konik&#8217;s optimistic outlook.

Swedish EV maker Polestar Automotive (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PSNY#NASDAQ">PSNY</a>) is offering up to $20,000 to Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) vehicle owners who choose to make a switch and lease a Polestar 3.
What Happened: &#8220;Make the switch to Polestar. Save up to $20,000 on a Polestar 3 lease as a Tesla owner,&#8221; the company says on its U.S. website.
The offer, which began on Feb. 21, expires on Feb 28. It is only available on the lease of a new model year 2025 Polestar 3 vehicle.
Polestar 3 is an SUV that starts at $67,500, cheaper than a Tesla Model X but pricier than the top variant of its Model Y. The long-range all-wheel drive variant of Tesla&#8217;s refreshed Model Y starts at $59,990.
Why It Matters: Polestar targeting Tesla owners is not unexpected. Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/tech/25/01/43155064/polestar-ceo-looks-to-attract-tesla-customers-disenchanted-by-elon-musks-politics-somebody-outside-of-germany-endorsing-right-wing-politicial-parties-totally-unacceptable">said in an interview last month</a> that Tesla CEO Elon Musk&#8216;s involvement in global politics is pushing away customers.
Lohscheller said that a lot of people have "very, very negative sentiment" about Musk's involvement in politics. The Polestar CEO also said that he has told the company's salespersons to target disappointed Tesla owners for potential business.
Lohscheller became CEO of Polestar in October. &#8220;Both in terms of volumes and financials, we expect 2025 to be the strongest year in Polestar&#8217;s history," the CEO said in January. 
The company reported a 15% drop in sales<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/25/01/42896581/polestar-sees-5-3-increase-in-q4-retail-sales-order-intake-surges-37-2" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">&nbsp;to 44,851 cars for the full year 2024.</a>

He also indicated that Apple&#8217;s announcement underscores its realization that an AI-powered future necessitates significant infrastructure investments. He estimates that 15% of the $19 billion incremental spend will be allocated to the hiring of 20,000 new employees, adding roughly $3 billion in annual employee expenses. The remaining 85% is likely to be invested in infrastructure, including expanding data center capacity and chip production for Apple Watches and iPads.
Munster&#8217;s third point underscores Apple&#8217;s strategic approach to bypass tariffs by redirecting those savings into U.S. investments.
