The framework deal sets a blanket 15% tariff on most EU exports to the United States, which is half the 30% Trump had threatened for August 1, but still far above the low single‑digit duties European manufacturers long enjoyed. In exchange, Brussels agreed to buy $750 billion in American energy and steer $600 billion in additional investment into U.S. industry and defense goods over the next several years.
Bayrou's criticism of the deal was the sharpest in a chorus of French disapproval. European Affairs Minister Benjamin Haddad warned on X that the pact is not sustainable and urged the bloc to trigger its new anti‑coercion tool to tax U.S. digital services or bar them from public contracts.

According to a report by Reuters, French Trade Minister Laurent Saint‑Martin told France Inter radio the accord gives companies "visibility" but leaves Europe in a power struggle Trump started, adding, "Donald Trump only understands force."

This is a 9.6 percent increase over earnings of $0.99 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $14.46 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $14.07 billion by 2.75 percent. This is a 11.35 percent increase over sales of $12.98 billion the same period last year.

What Happened: On Monday, in a post on X, The Kobeissi Letter, shared Nvidia&#8217;s latest figures, calling them &#8220;absolutely insane.&#8221; The stock was up 1.87%, closing at $176.75, touching $4.3 trillion market cap, just two weeks after <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/large-cap/25/07/46377891/wall-street-hits-record-highs-as-nvidia-tops-4-trillion-trump-ramps-up-trade-tensions-this-week-in-markets">hitting the $4 trillion mark</a>, becoming the first company in history to do so.

Why It Matters: A year ago, investor James Anderson echoed similar views, predicting that Nvidia&#8217;s market cap <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/07/39765205/nvidia-could-be-worth-nearly-50-trillion-in-a-decade-says-early-tesla-amazon-investor-nearly-2x-">could reach $50 trillion</a> within a decade. 
&#8220;The potential scale of Nvidia in the most optimistic outcome is both way higher than I&#8217;ve ever seen before and could lead to a market cap of double-digit trillions. This isn&#8217;t a prediction but a possibility if artificial intelligence works for customers and Nvidia&#8217;s lead is intact,&#8221;&nbsp;Anderson said.
Senior analyst Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities said early this month that the tech bull market was still&nbsp;&#8220;in its early stages,&#8221; driven by the AI revolution. He predicted that both Microsoft and Nvidia would reach <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46188671/nvidia-microsoft-on-track-to-achieve-4-trillion-market-cap-says-analyst-dan-ives-tech-bull-market-is-still-early">the $4 trillion mark</a>, followed by $5 trillion over the next 18 months.
In a recent poll on Benzinga asking which company would be the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/25/07/46395825/nvidia-vs-microsoft-vs-apple-who-will-hit-5-trillion-market-cap-first-75-of-readers-pick-this-stock">first to hit $5 trillion</a> in market cap, 75% of readers picked Nvidia, with Microsoft coming in at a distant second, with 8%.
Price Action: Nvidia shares were up 1.87% on Monday, closing at $176.75, and is up 0.63% after hours.

Stellantis (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/STLA#NYSE">STLA</a>) reported quarterly earnings of $0.20 per share. This is a 91.97 percent decrease over earnings of $2.54 per share from the same period last year. The company reported $84.24 billion in sales this quarter. This is a 7.96 percent decrease over sales of $91.53 billion the same period last year.

The Federal Aviation Administration has reportedly greenlit the next step in the certification process of the Boeing Co.'s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BA#NYSE">BA</a>) 777-9 aircraft.

What Happened: The agency issued the clearance for the Washington-based aerospace giant, Jon Ostrower, editor-in-chief of The Air Current, said in a post on social media platform X on Monday.
"The FAA late last week cleared Boeing to begin the next phase of its 777-9 certification, focusing on system demonstrations, two people familiar tell TAC," he said in the post.
He added that the aircraft's certification process is now in its fourth phase and is currently going through the Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) process. A TIA is used when the FAA wants to conduct inspections and tests on aircraft to ensure they meet crucial requirements and safety standards.

Why It Matters: The news comes as Boeing aircraft got the green light from investigators following a probe into the fuel switch locks, which were found to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/25/07/46538453/boeing-737-787-jets-get-green-light-as-air-india-closes-fuel-lock-probe-with-no-issues">have no issues</a>, as part of the investigation into the June's Air India-operated 787-Dreamliner crash in Ahmedabad.
Boeing aircraft's safety has been under scrutiny following the crash and was also brought into question as investigators probed into the Jeju Air crash in South Korea, saying that <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/travel/25/07/46515425/jeju-air-crash-that-killed-179-linked-to-pilots-powering-down-less-damaged-engine-says-south-korea-probe">pilots powering down an engine</a> could have led to the crash.
In the meantime, the Senate <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/25/07/46336395/senate-confirms-trump-pick-bryan-bedford-as-faa-chief-even-as-chuck-schumer-warns-he-will-prioritize-profits-over-passenger-safety">confirmed the nomination</a> of Bryan Bedford, President Donald Trump's pick to lead the FAA, despite criticism from the democrats over Bedford's nomination.
Elsewhere, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said that an <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/25/07/46461080/sean-duffy-says-trump-administration-would-require-an-additional-19-billion-to-overhaul-air-traffic-control-need-more-money">additional $19 billion</a> would be required over the approved $12.5 billion allocation to overhaul the aging Air Traffic Control system in the U.S.
